Been using this for nearly six months, still works fine. These have lm281b LEDs, even says it in the manual, and confirmed looking at them with a loupe. But it's pretty bright for lm281b, one of the better batches of this LED type. The driver is pretty small, I'd guess it pulls around 60w. It does run hot, but I don't mind it, it provides all the heat I need in a small 24”x16”x20” grow tent I have it in. With the light it keeps the tent within +/- 5 degrees at 85f/29.4c. I do like the reflector hood, I wish my other LED grow lights had them. ... show more

First off I looked long and hard finding a grow light that would go from veg all the way through flower into harvest for under 50 dollars. This light will not let you down. I have 2. I also have an HLG 550 v2 r spec grow light that was bought when i got my 4x4 tent. My tent is running the big 550 hlg and one of these lights. I can tell you the dli will reach 40 on a 18/24 light schedule & the par runs just over 600. For the money I don't think you will find a better light. I use my second light to get the from seedling to veg and into the tent. Absolute perfect for this and the second light I have is a great help to the HLG 550 I have in the tent. If you are simple looking to grow a single plant on a shelf like I done? This light will get you where you want to be. ... show more

I honestly cannot recommend. And I had high hopes for this light! Similar to another model I had purchased (same wattage, same physical dimensions, similar description, etc), that I had had good luck with, so I figured why not? BIG MISTAKE. Had some tomato seedlings under this light, and they looked sickly. No matter what I did with them under this light, there was no improvement. Tomato seedlings under different lights were thriving, so I moved the sickly ones under a different light. Within a day, they're already looking better! Sorry to say, but I think this light will be going in the Goodwill donations box. Let someone else deal with it, and I'll see if I can buy another light that doesn't want to kill my plants! ... show more

No timer no dimmer other than that, what do you want for the price? You know it's really good. A good deal. You should try it out I haven't had any problems with with mine it does run high but for the winter it's good. Energy is good. It was easy to install. I like the way it works

This light works perfectly in a prop tent. I am using it in a 1x3 prop tent that is about 48" tall. It puts off a good 300 ppfd + in the proper sepctrums that is perfect for my plants. Seedlings and clones love it. The light can be hooked up to a timer like any light but one of the cool features it has is an on and off switch. This is ideal for a prop tent because If you move plants out of the prop tent you can then just simply turn off the light instead of having to unplug it each and every time. ... show more
