  • Fantastic pocketable Midi Keyboard with tons of clever functions
Color: Black/White
This pocketable/foldable midi keyboard is what I had been looking for for years. I was always surprised that it did not exist. Now it does. And it is well thought through as only Korg can do it. I unpacked it, plugged it into my Mac first and iPad then and was lost in an hour long music making bliss - the best indicator for a successful music making tool. This is so much more than just a midi keyboard. The many Arpeggiator modes and patterns, the chord function, the split keyboard, the scale functions with lit keys, the swipe keyboard function, etc... there is so much clever thinking that went into this... I am impressed. The keyboard is as big as my phone when folded and lies flat when unfolded. It is small but a real powerhouse of a midi keyboard. It is well built but I agree with many reviewers that it does feel a bit light and flimsy. They key buttons work well but I agree with others that it would be better to have the whole key surface be an actual perusable button. I hope in both of these in a version mk II of this. Despite these two points I would not hesitate buying this again and warmly recommend it to anyone that always wanted a small pocketable midi keyboard for the phone/iPad/laptop to carry along. ... show more

  • Instant regret
Color: Black/White
I bought this because I'm putting together a tiny suitcase rig to keep me from going insane in vehicles and hotel rooms, it's good for that and that only, otherwise it's a huge pain in the ass. Buy a Keystep, a Swing or anything Keith McMillen before you blow money on this gimmicky thing. I've had mine for two weeks and I'm already considering trading it for a lap harp. ... show more

  • The perfect travel midi keyboard
Color: Black/White
A ton of functions on an incognito keyboard. I travel every weekend for work and this thing has been a game changer. I’ve used it on the plane, in the hotel, even on break at work. Fits in the smallest pocket in my book bag. Yes it’s plastic, but once it’s unfolded and lying down flat it feels fine. I have small case for it for extra protection. Syncs up with all of my Daws and VST with no problem. I think it’s pretty sick for a midi keyboard on the go. Just buy the Amazon protection for $20 and you’ll be fine ... show more

  • Super light weight...but is that a good thing.
Color: White
Great product in its simplicity. Plug in and use easily with Ableton. Keep in mind, this is a midi controller and does not come with its own sounds. I found the software package worthless but if you have Ableton and a plethora of sound packs loaded in, you're set to have a ton of fun. Perfect device for writing tracks while out and about. The product is in my opinion, too light and feels like it could easily be damaged. Would like to see some tougher skin and hinge parts, especially as a midi you'll want to be taking with you everywhere. ... show more

  • Small, handy, and functional but obscenely overpriced for what it is.
Color: Black/White
I bought this because I frequently need to leave my studio to work at other studios and typically set up a little workstation with a midi keyboard. I've been using a Akai MPK mini but with its protective case, it gets a bit clunky to travel with. This certainly solves that problem handily, coming in at about 1/10th the size and about the same for weight. It's nothing. You could put it in your pocket. So, it serves a great function in a tiny little form-factor. The keys are a joke, however. They are exactly as they look. Just little plastic bubbles that you can press down on; maybe you could squeeze some velocity variability on it. Don't think you're going to perform Bach on this thing. It's for punching out short ideas and then editing them in a midi editor. For me, I use them as buttons for a sampler that plays back sound effects so I'm less concerned about velocity response or having to perform melodic passages. Unfortunately, it feels extremely cheaply made. It's hollow inside and reminds me of a dollar store chocolate easter bunny. Feels like it will shatter into a bunch of little pieces on a single drop. It doesn't click firm when you open it, but it does feel solid when it's opened up on a desk. I'm docking a star because it feels so cheap. I'm docking it another star because it's obscenely overpriced. This should be a $49 buy. The fact that it is $119 shows that Korg doesn't understand the market for this. If you need something small and simple to punch out stuff on the road and you have the cash burning a hole in your pocket, fine. If you don't, run away from this product screaming. ... show more
