The media could not be loaded. This thing can JAM! When it first arrived, we opened it up in our living room and cranked it up. A few minutes later, I got a text from my neighbors asking if we were having a party! :) They could hear it next door. The makers of this cooler seriously thought of EVERYTHING! It will charge your devices, play your tunes, inflate your air mattress, open your beer bottle, keep your ice frozen for THREE DAYS, host a karaoke party or jam session, and protect your iPad/phone/laptop from the elements. And best of all, you charge it ahead of time, and you're good to go for 16 hours. My husband and I had so much fun with this over the weekend. In truth, I was hesitant to buy this at first due to the cost, but we are SO GLAD WE FINALLY DID! It's fantastic - it holds a ton, has a telescoping handle and wheels for easy transport (which is good because it weighs in at 31 pounds, but is manageable with the wheels), AND (best of all) it CRANKS! We actually found it comparable to a BOSE portable sound system we have at home – it’s definitely on par in terms of sound quality. I mention this in my video review, but this is made by a sound system and audio equipment company. It's a legitimate sound system built into a high performance cooler. We did a video review in the hopes it would help other consumers out there who were on the fence like we were. The KoolMax is awesome. The speakers are loud and I havent even turned them all the way up on the cooler yet. I usually turn my phone to maximum and the Koolmax to about halfway or a little more. And it def blasts loudly. The only thing is the bottle opener is a little difficult to use without spilling some liquid out of the bottle. I wish the top lid that protects ipads and devices was able to be sat on since it takes up much of the top of the cooler's space. Also, my handle is tough to pull up all the way sometimes and it is a bit flimsy. Still works but I've been cautious with it. The wheels roll well even through dirt and grass. The battery life has been phenomenal. I'll charge it once to full capacity and will use it for 14+ hours no problem. The bluetooth connects well and easily. Ive connected a microphone and that worked fine too. The cigarette outlet works fine too since my friend was able to charge her phone. I have not used the guitar hookup slot. The flashlight only worked once and has not since but idk why. Other than these minor issues the Koolmax is amazing. It's a party everywhere I go. And it can get wet a little, not entirely but I dont worry when it drizzles or if I'm near a pool. ... show more

    • Even Better Than I Hoped For
I've had coolers for over 40 years and this one probably cost more the all of my earlier ones combined - IT IS WELL WORTH IT! I thought I was getting a good cooler with an adequate stereo. It's an outstanding stereo with a very good cooler. I took it camping Labor Day Weekend and everybody enjoyed it. Taking turns with Bluetooth was very communal. We were camping on 65 acres so it will probably never get a similar workout in my suburban neighborhood. There is plenty of volume to annoy your neighbors - if you're so inclined. Battery life was good, it held ice into the third day and the sound was outstanding. Minor, minor complaints: The quality of the latch and the cover on the control panel are not as robust as I'd like. Because of the latch, I kept it unlatched most of the weekend and this may have reduced ice life. The cooler is heavy so unless you put it on a table, the control panel cover is only a foot off the ground so it's hard to view. Breakage seems likely - especially with friends unfamiliar with the unit. Speaking of the control panel, when you turn Bluetooth on it tells you it is "Initiaizing" (the missing "l" probably only annoys me). I will spend 99% of the time using Bluetooth but it would be nice to know how to preset the radio. The instruction manual makes not mention of this and the responses to this question here only say that you can preset stations. I have no idea how. Great unit. I bought the extended warranty but after last weekend, I don't think I'll need it. Very happy with this! ... show more

    • Absolutely Amazing
This is the greatest investment I've ever made. I loved the fact that it requires a well fit muscular man to carry the cooler when it's filled with beer and ice "70lbs".. Oohhh I was suppose to roll it? Let me grab the cheaply made handle, that feels like it's going to snap the second I take a turn, not to mention the plastic wheels they pulled from a big wheel, those things are ready for all kinds of rocky terrain. If you take it to the river, don't grab the side handles to hard, they may snap right off buts it's ok you can break the cooler to get it back on. It's also gives you all kinds of great noises from the Bluetooth, especially if you like the sound of scary movies like the exorcist. But wait that's not all, the top compartment flies open every time you go to grab something from the cooler.. If you call the company, there is all kinds of great customer service, they will tell you they won't fix anything because it isn't covered in the warranty.. All smiles. I absolutely love this thing.. All the heart and pain is worth it.. Man I wouldn't want anything else, like a portable Bose speaker that's half the price.. ... show more
