  • I ran into 2 issues with this TV
Picture quality is good and it never looses it's wifi connection. The 2 issues I have had so far are: The speakers and the TV would randomly turn on. So, firstly the speakers are absolute garbage. Sitting 10 ft. away from the TV and maxing out the volume was the only way to hear anything from it, so I had to buy a sound bar to compensate. Secondly, the TV would randomly turn itself on. I was able to determine what was causing this though. I have a Roku plugged into the TV and I noticed that if the Roku updated it would cause the TV to turn itself on. However, for anyone that has this issue the way to insure this doesn't happen anymore is to hold the Power Button down for about 3 seconds. The TV will ask if you wish to turn TV off, select yes. Whenever I'm finished watching the TV I now do this and I haven't had the TV turn itself back on in the last 4 months. Simply pressing the Power Button puts the TV into a power savings mode and if it receives any signal, in my case it was my Roku, it will turn itself back on. Holding the Power Button down actually fully turns the TV off so even if the Roku updates the TV will remain off. ... show more

  • Missing a channel guide
I LOVE this TV! The price is right for what you get, it's AWESOME! My only complaint, or maybe question, is that there is no on board guide to antenna TV channels. Hit the center button and it gives a channel list, fine, but no real guide to the actual programming on said channels, unless you go to a channel, then it tells you what is on. I have tried a few apps that claim to do this, but they don't. My Roku TV has that guide, as does my Fire TV. Just curious if anyone else knows how to fix this, or if it isn't fixable. Regardless, still 5 stars, as no issue at all, cept figuring out the different platform, but that is a learning curve. I WILL say, the picture is awesome, I LOVE the ethernet port, which many TV's don't have, but this also has wi-fi, which worked just fine. Not sure about the sound as I have it hooked up to a sound system, and hell, not too many people will buy a 55" TV without at least a sound bar. Sideloaded apps work as well, just need to DL sideloader, or the such. If you know your way around an Android, this is just a HUGE version of your phone, sorta, with a learning curve. It's fun to play with! If anyone knows how to get a channel guide, please let me know! 100% recommended for sure. (and, no, no gift card attached to this review, nor anything else, just my honest review.) ... show more

  • HONEST REVIEW! READ!
READ!! DETAILED REVIEW! Other reviewers are correct, the sound isn't very good... When playing on a game system, the sound is awesome and "correct". -When watching TV (I've watched on Hulu, Netflix, and Google play) the sound is much MUCH lower. I have to turn it almost all of the way up to be able to hear it at a normal volume. I have a smaller living room and I don't listen to TV loud so for me to have to turn it all of the way up is kind of a shock (and annoyance) for me. I know next to nothing about technology though so I don't know if I can change this in settings or what... but it seems weird that the sound is normal when playing ps4 and Switch VS streaming. -The TV has an option to be able to use it as a Google assistant even when the TV itself is turned off. I have tried to "wake" it and it won't so thats kind of annoying. -It also has an option for the TV to turn on when you turn on other devices (such a ps4)... I have turned this setting on. Go figure, it doesn't work. -You can't remove the built in apps (there aren't many) but you can tell that this TV is older because it has Google music on it (which is not a thing anymore) and I'm unable to delete the app so its always there. -It is NOT side to side picture like shown in photos and the video. There is a slight border all the way around. -The stands make me nervous because they seem very cheap. As if they will bend and give at any moment. On the positive note.... the picture is beautiful, it's relatively light weight for the size, & it's very easy to set up and get going. ((This is an android powered TV. You will need a smart phone to set up!)) **I'm single so I had to set up by myself. If you have smarts, can figure things out easily, and have a little muscle then you won't have a problem doing this by yourself. All in all... This TV is NOT worth $400+ (I purchased the 55"). I would pay $200 for it but thats the limit. I would return and find something better but I (stupidly) tore up the box shortly after set up. ... show more

  • Loved television
I loved the television but was unable to program it. It was very smart and since I have a very dumb phone I could not program it. The picture that I could get was from the roku fire stick, since i don't have cable or one of the sattelite services. I wasn't aware that i would have to have more tech to actually get the tv to work. Alas, I had to give it up and send it back. Without outside technology the tv never got programmed or onto a channel. It would not work with the fire stick either. I am sure had I gotten it started with a smarter phone, I would have been very pleased with it. I am 76 yrs. "young" and really can't afford the ideal smart phones. ... show more
