The sink looks great the Kohler customer service is horrible My sink arrived without the hinges to hang it - check to be sure you have this upon delivery. Kohler is sending but some 8 days after sink - and with water in this room shut off well... the hinges finally arrived and we got 2 different ones. We called Kohler to doublecheck and they assured us this was correct. It was not and we paid our plumber another 30 minutes to figure this out (you need 2 hangers items # 64508.) I'm on hold now trying to get this. You'd think Kohler would check what they ship out and have customer rep people who know what parts to ship. After 45 minutes on hold with Kohler.. I've now called Amazon to see if they could help me deal with this. This is my second call now to Amazon to help me deal with Kohler. Amazon is great. Kohler is horrible.. Ask yourself - do your love this sink so much to spend your time on hold with Kohler and Amazon pay extra plumber fees because you can't get the parts to hang the sink? Maybe you can find a sink with a company that offers great service?? I will avoid Kohler products as much as possible now. If Amazon had not helped me I never would have gotten the parts I needed.

Beautiful sink, but like previous reviews state, it's an install nightmare. The installation alone doubled the price of our bathroom project. We used it with the compatible Chicago faucets (a separate nightmare, multiple email messages and videos sent to Chicago of the faucets leaking a cup an hour) to match the chrome of the other fixtures in our bathroom, and like a previous reviewer stated, you will have water everywhere. This can be remedied by replacing the gooseneck part of the faucet, but after already spending a fortune on this bathroom, we just deal with the mess.

I expect Amazon or the company would check on each product before sending out to customer. i bought 5 of these sinks which is pretty expensive on each of them. however, 2 out of 5 have chips. one of them is in very bad condition. it chips as big as size of hand and in vaious locations. anyway, i need to use it and have no time to wait for exchange plus it is out of stock in Amazon too. i suggest Amazon or the company which send direct the merchandise that should be inspect before sending.

You just can't beat Kohler for quality and style. This sink will not disappoint on either count. I'm glad there are still a few companies left that manufacture durable goods right here in the USA. We actually first spotted this sink design at a junk store, and my wife wanted it immediately (although I remarked at the time that it looked more like a group urinal than a sink). But it was in pretty rough shape so we passed on the second hand one. Then I checked online and found this new one! It is going to be installed in her stained glass workshop in our new home. What a delight.

The online pictures are great but I opened the box to discover the black cast iron to be extremely scratched up with areas where the cast iron has large pits. I thought about painting the bottom but the pits were too large and would be noticeable. I replaced one week later and the second sink was worse than the first. After two returns, I will be reselecting the sink. The return and shipping process was great however. My poor UPS man...the sink is super heavy!

The first sink was packaged so poorly that it had broken through the box and had cracked porcelain. The 2nd one arrived and was intact, but the packaging was not much better. Once set into the countertop, the sink wobbled! The casting flange was not level from side to side and front to back. There is nothing standard about this installation. 99% of the sinks sold have a 3" drain. Not this one!! 2-1/4" outlet hole does not match up with any common hardware found at HD or Lowe's. You will need to break through your wall and install double 1/2" pipe outlets for plumbing instead of the easy use of flexible lines from the supply valve already in your house. There were no flange nuts supplied with the recommended Kohler chrome faucets sold to accompany this sink. Style does not have to be this difficult!

This sink exceeded expectations. High quality, heavy duty, and in perfect condition out of the box. Initially the plan was to refinish the bottom of the sink, but the color was consistent and beautiful - a rich dark charcoal. The contractors installed it with ease, and the sink is truly a statement piece. Installed with Chicago Faucets Product# 225-261E35-3XKABCP and Kohler Soap Dish.
