There are so many good things that I can say about this raised toilet seat, but the one thing that goes on top of my list is "worry free maintenance." Prior to purchasing this seat I have installed two different raised seats and keeping them clean was a dreadful task... to say the least! I am quite impressed of how this seat is designed and the material that it is made of. They really put some thought into this raised seat. It looks good, operates as it should and last but not least it is very sturdy. This seat just rocks!!! The two other seats that my mom previously had needed constant cleaning and they both eventually ended up turning yellowish, even after all the cleaning. I highly recommend this seat to anyone who is looking for a stylish, easy to clean, raised toilet seat that just great! (note) The installation was fairly easy, but you must unscrew and take the 2 bolts all the way out of the rubber sleeves with the tightening nut. This is so you will be able to bend the rubber sleeve with the lock nut in it and stick the locking mechanism in the toilet base mounting holes. After you get the locking bolts through the holes, you can now put that bolts back in so that you are able to align, tighten and secure the toilet seat brackets. ... show more

    • Best investment ever for folks with bad knees!!!

This may sound weird but every time I go into the bathroom, this seat makes me smile and makes me feel grateful! Because of my bad knees, for the past many years, I’ve had severe pain in my knees when I get up and down and it was almost impossible to get up without pulling up on something. It amazes me how much difference the extra few inches this seat provides makes in how much less pain I have getting up and down! It attaches very securely to the toilet, it’s very easy to clean and it really just looks like part of the toilet as it’s very shiny and clean looking…just a bit taller! I’m so grateful my daughter suggested I look it up on Amazon. She had bought one for her mother-in-law’s visit to her home and thought I might like one as well.     • Does Not shift, Easy to Install, and No Slam Feature is Great

After reading some reviews, I was concerned about it sliding around. So far, after 3 months of use, the seat is sturdy, does not slide around, and was easy to install. The No-Slam feature is amazing. I installed it for my elderly parents (in their late 80's), because they were having trouble sitting all the way down on the standard toilet seat height and then getting up. This raised seat makes it so much easier. You do have to get used to the smaller toilet opening, but after a few days, you don't even notice. But the best feature is the No-Slam feature. You just move the seat and cover past the vertical position, let go, and both seat and cover slowly closes. It is so convenient and makes it easier on my elderly parents to close the toilet seat without slamming after raising it. It should be a feature on all toilet seats. The Kohler brand is a little more expensive than the no-name brands, but I think it's worth the little extra cost. ... show more

If you need a permanent fix for a toilet that is too low and you don’t want to have a new toilet installed, this is your solution. This elevated seat was a fantastic purchase. We have a low profile toilet in the half bath on our first floor that we use during the day. I have an issue with my knee that it gives out along with being very painful when I sit on something too low. Never mind the issue of getting back up again! We tried a booster seat but then my feet were partially off of the floor. It was unstable because it was not meant for an elongated toilet and moved around. Plus it is our guest bathroom so taking it off when we had company was a pain. We found this seat on Amazon and ordered it after measuring our raised toilet upstairs which is only a 1/4” higher than this seat. It was delivered in 2 days and let me tell you it is amazing! I love the height and stability and how easy it is going to be to clean that terrible area of the toilet where the seat attaches. Best of all I have no more pain because it’s just the right height. The installation instructions that came with it were not good. But my husband looked it up on the internet and found a great video that walked him through it so it ended up not being an issue. ... show more

After trying to stabilize an unstable, overpriced seat, I saw this one, and I already had the free standing frame from Vive health. This toilet seat is genius, it uses an anchor bolt system. You only need a screw driver, installation is so easy and fast! And stability, holy cow! This thing isn’t going anywhere!! Last, it is easily detached for cleaning. This toilet seat is AMAZING!! 1st, I'm 5'5" and I wouldn't go any higher than 3 inches. 2ndly, It's completely adjustable. I believe most toilets have the same fitting, including the RV toilets. I have a fifth wheel Keystone Montana with a specific toilet that I was told would be very expensive to replace the toilet seat. This kholer fit my fifth wheel beautifully. ALSO, VERY IMPORTANT IF YOU HAVE AN R.V. , most of th toilets are round. Do not order the oval one because it won't fit. and fits perfectly. I needed a raise toilet seat for my elderly parents. I tried the ones that are normally up on the market and found them wobbly and the hole in the middle too small. When I came across this one from Koehler, I was skeptical. But it was so easy to install and looks like a normal toilet seat. You don’t even really notice that it’s raised. Extremely stable.
