This Kohler model toilet seat does NOT come with "Quick release hinges"( for removal for easy cleaning)! It has a regular screw & bolt installation that permanently affixes the seat underneath the toilet ceramic.

Perhaps I didn't read all the description of this product before purchasing, because I was disappointed when it arrived and it was all plastic. It did come with metal screws to attach, which was better than the heavier one it replaced which had plastic screws that didn't want to come apart. It was easy to install and looks and functions fine. I find that "quiet-close" means that you have to push it down yourself, as it won't go down unless pushed. But hey, at least it is better than my kids dropping the heavier ones and it sound like everything is breaking. ... show more
