I was nervous to order a dress online. This dress exceeds my expectations. The Bodice is fully lined. The sleeves and skirt portions are a single layer of fabric. The fabric is good quality and not see-through. If you hold the fabric up to the light, some light comes through a single layer, but it is totally black on the double-layered bodice portion. I think you could get away from wearing a slip underneath the dress, but it also might not hurt. I own one, so I will probably go ahead and wear my half-slip. The fit is amazing. I am 5 ft 9 inches tall. The dress goes below my ankles, almost to the floor. The sleeves are a tiny bit short on my arms, but not enough to worry about, I don't mind pushing up the sleeves a bit to make them look like 3/4 sleeves. They are long enough, though. I have a size A bust. There is definitely room up on top, but it doesn't look too baggy since I can just pull the dress down a bit. I had 9 children, and I am in my early 40's, so I haven't been able to loose all that baby weight, and I kind of have a tummy. I was worried this dress would make me look pregnant, but I don't think it does. I'll be wearing nylons under it, to help push in my tummy, anyway. It helps that the dress is black. I use it as a concert dress. I am very happy with this purchase. I feel it is elegant and good quality and a good fit.

I ordered this in navy about 18 months ago and loved the dress so much. Probably my favorite of all time. Slimming, elegant, comfortable, lots of compliments. I finally decided to get the “olive green” dress. I’d been hesitating because the picture doesn’t look olive. The picture is accurate. It is not an olive green. I don’t know quite how to describe it, but if you’re looking for olive, this isn’t it. The fabric is also different from the navy one and isn’t as nice. It’s still pretty, but I don’t love it like I do the navy. Debating whether to keep it.

So cute! Its so rare for me to find a dress this long! I'm 5'8 and wore it with heels and it went just above the floor. Perfect for heels! Would have to hem it if i wanted to wear flats. Lightweight fabric, but lots of it, so it did not feel cheap. Camouflaged my curves just right. The only thing that would have made it better would have been pockets. Solid color - the color variation in the photos is due to light reflection.

I'll start by saying that the overall fit is good. I'm 5'5" 215lbs/ size 16 and I ordered an XL. The length brushed the floor so would not need hemming, maybe just modest heels. Comfortable & relaxed fit at waist/hips. Not snug in the chest. However, the sleeves hit just above my wrists- I could pull them up for a 3/4 sleeve look but the arms are really quite snug. The fabric is a bit like a glorified Halloween costume. It is thick without being particularly hot, but the sleeves don't have any air flow... I wouldn't choose to wear it here in Florida. I'm a professional violist so I purchased this for gigs and orchestral performances as the dress requires all black and sleeves at the elbow or longer. But for the price and the simplicity of this dress, it's not for me. I will be returning it for a refund.

I turned out great. Came very wrinkled and it was a bit difficult to get them out. Also was very long and even with higher shoes ended up stepping on it a lot. It was very flattering and I received a lot of compliments.
