The colors and materials are very good quality and worked well with holiday visitors. They reported that the bed is comfortable. I can recommend this futon it is very good product. Most of the negative is due to the fact that the mattress and frame are very heavy and you will need two people to open and close. It takes some help putting together. My son did it but needed his dad to help hold things and move them. One thing needs improvement. On the front bottom of the frame there are two small plates for ease of movement. The screws are not long enough and the plate keeps falling off with the pressure. I would suggest a change to screws, bolts and washers to strengthen it.     • Worth the extra money if you can afford.
Pretty nice futon. There were cheaper ones but I was looking for both comfort as i would use couch daily and decent size because I wanted it big enough to fit 2 average size adults on it. As we don't have room for a guest room but we didn't want to invest in another air mattress with 4 cats. Air mattress felt like a waste of money. I didn't want the draws so I couldn't choose any color besides brown. Wish I could find a futon cover but hard to find with the size of futon. Kind if wanted a splash of color. Only down side. It took my bf about 2 hours to assemble. So longer due to its size but it didn't take forever. If your looking for a comfier futon but not sure if this one is worth the money- it is. The futon came in 3 boxes, the parts were packed very securely. The assembly instructions, coupled with the on-line assembly tutorial, were very clear and easy to follow. It took me about 2 hours to put together, by myself. The assembled futon looks very nice, the frame is very solid & heavy; the cushion/mattress is thick (about 8") and comfortable. We had my grandchildren visit for a few days and they slept on it and liked it, however it takes 2 people to open (or close) from sofa to bed. As a sofa it is okay except that the back leans back a little too much, my wife is short and when she is sitting in it, with her back to the back of the cushion, her feet do not reach the floor and she's uncomfortable, she uses the throw pillows to put behind her back to make herself more comfortable on the sofa. ... show more

The color codes and youtube video help with putting it together. Fairly comfortable. One thread insert was missing so I was unable to use a screw in that slat. I guess the inspector fell asleep on that one. I am unable to position it from a bed to sofa by myself. Suggest getting some furniture sliders to put under the legs. Can't really recommend buying it to anyone. Wish I had looked for one with springs that help in positioning it from bed to sofa. Wish I had not bought it. Too much of a pain to return it so I'll end up getting another frame. ... show more

AMAZING, WELL MADE, and BEAUTIFUL!!! Honestly I don’t think I’ve ever been so impressed with a piece of furniture, other than my TV lift cabinet. This went in the family/media room and it is SO comfy!! Have already gotten comments on it! You can even put in in the “lounge” position (back a bit further reclined), perfect for watching movies! We are going to use the futon for visiting family to sleep and a place to rest and read away from the television in the family room. But you will need at least 2 people to tote, read directions, wrestle, lift, and pray, to put the futon together. Not kidding. The shipped packages are heavy and cumbersome, so it is not a job for the normal Granny and Grandpa to assemble. (I know because I am one. ) The end result is great, though. ... show more

I read a lot of reviews before deciding on this Kodiak queen frame and Grey suede queen 8 inch futon. My husband and I love this frame and futon which is similar to a mattress, the wood is very sturdy and the futon is comfortable. It took some time to put together, came with instructions and tools.     • Wonderful Futon
Wonderful futon. It is a bit of chore to assemble it but not complicated. Use a cordless drill with a torque setting. I set mine to 8 ft/lbs and it works great. Make sure when you open the mattress wrapping all breakables are away from the incredible expansion that is going to happen.
