    • A Budget-Friendly Dupe for the Canon G7X
Color: White
Review Image by Maritza Tejada
Review Image by Maritza Tejada
Okay, I’m actually impressed with the quality of this little camera! It’s compact, lightweight, and super easy to carry around, but the pictures still have that cute, crisp digital-camera look that’s been trending lately. The 4X optical zoom and video recording are a nice bonus, and I love that it uses regular AA batteries. I literally used the same battery for almost 1000 pictures around Europe, so you don’t have to worry about constantly charging it. The white color also makes it look really stylish and expensive for what it costs. For a fraction of the price of a Canon G7X, I’d honestly call this a budget-friendly dupe. If you want that trendy point-and-shoot aesthetic without dropping a ton of money, this camera is definitely worth checking out. ... show more

    • Affordable Canon GX7 Dupe with Great Results + Easy Operation
Color: White
The KODAK PIXPRO FZ45 blew me away. I bought it as a budget-friendly alternative to the Canon GX7 and was genuinely surprised at how comparable the photo quality is. This camera delivers crisp, vibrant images with great color accuracy and sharpness, especially for casual use, travel, and everyday photography. The compact size and lightweight body make it ideal for tossing in your bag or carrying on the go. The 4X optical zoom and 27mm wide-angle lens give you flexibility for everything from portraits to landscapes. Here are a few tips to get the best results: Use the macro setting for close-ups of flowers, food, or small objects. It captures surprisingly detailed shots. To avoid whitewashed photos, make sure ISO is set to AUTO, rather than a super high manual setting. Start on "auto" then if that doesn't work look into the other modes like "Party" and "Night Portrait". Explore the scene modes. The camera includes presets like portrait, night, and beach, which adjust settings automatically for different conditions. Avoid using the digital zoom. Stick to the optical zoom to maintain image quality. Use the exposure compensation feature (+/- button) to brighten or darken your photos without needing editing later. Review your shots on the 2.7-inch screen and retake anything that looks slightly off. The LCD is good enough to spot issues before you move on. This camera is perfect for someone who wants high-quality point-and-shoot photos without the learning curve or cost of a DSLR. It is reliable, easy to use, and a fantastic value. Highly recommend it for beginners, students, content creators or anyone who just wants great pictures for insta without the fuss. ... show more

I bought this camera for my trip to New York, and to be completely honest, you get what you pay for. It’s definitely on the cheaper side but is a great camera considering! I was reading reviews, and I see a lot of complaints that it randomly turns off, doesn’t work, and won’t charge. I will say, at first, when I was having these issues, it was frustrating, but I just figured out the little weird flaws and how to deal with them, and it’s totally second nature now to deal with it. When the camera turns off or won’t even turn on, it’s because the batteries are running low, so just be aware of that and replace them with LITHIUM batteries only. This camera also doesn’t charge. It’s battery-operated, so for the people saying “I charged it and it didn’t work,” I’m gonna hold your hand when I say this… it’s battery-operated, and the “charger cable” is actually used to upload to your device and transfer the photos. Also, a good note is the camera doesn’t work with the batteries provided for some reason, so you need lithium batteries specifically. The camera will only take photos when the little blinking light turns green, and you can’t take a photo if it’s blinking red. If you press the button while it’s red, it’ll just be red longer, which is slightly frustrating when you’re trying to take a photo quickly. As for the lens getting stuck, that will happen sometimes, but I always just manually open it, and it goes back to normal. I submitted some of my photos I took on this camera that I’m submitting for my college portfolio and I really have enjoyed having this as my first camera. ... show more

    • Best dupe for an expensive camera!
Color: Black
Y’all better RUN!!! This camera is amazing! The picture quality is seriously so good. I even took my passport photo with it, and it worked perfectly! The image can look a little pixelated on the actual camera screen, but don’t let that fool you—once you transfer the photos to your phone or computer, they look crisp and clear! Just keep in mind that you’ll need to purchase an SD card separately, as well as a USB-C adapter/cable that’s compatible with your phone if you want to transfer the photos directly. Overall, I’m super impressed with this camera and definitely recommend it! ... show more

    • Not reliable
Color: Red
I got this camera beginning of June. It is now August and I want to throw this thing across the room. At first it seemed to work fine, but it quickly started developing aggravating habits. About 50% of the time, when attempting to take a photo, the camera stalls. It is SO annoying asking people to "stand still a little while longer, sorry!". At one event, it refused to flash for the majority of my photos, even though I had the settings on force flash. This past Saturday 8/8 it started malfunctioning in a new way: the camera would flash, but when I looked at how the photo turned out, it was super dark! Then 8/11 at a concert towards the end of the night., it decided to completely freeze on me. Wouldn't turn off or anything. I removed the batteries and reinserted them and it came back on. To top off the night, it notifies me "batteries exhausted". Mind you, I put in new batteries (Duracell) 3 days earlier on 8/8. When the camera decides to work, it's great. But there is no rhyme or reason for when it decides to malfunction. I want a reliable camera. I paid $118 for this camera and at the very least I expect it to take photos when I press the button. I love the photos it takes (when it wants to work) but I am very disappointed with my purchase. I wish I could return it. I hate that I may have to purchase an even more expensive camera to have a reliable product. ... show more

    • They don't make them like they used to
Color: Black
In the last 6 years I have had 3 Kodak cameras. This is the first I've made a review for and the one that lasted the longest. They just don't last very long. It worked ok but did have some issues. It occasionally froze up. It also went through batteries like wildfire. It is easy to use and good for simple photographs. Unfortunately, when it decided to die it went out with a loud pop. I was worried the flash exploded but luckily, it did not. It never worked again though. I'll be trying a different brand next. ... show more
