Biggest waste of money

This is the worst camera I’ve ever used in my entire life. I got for Christmas this past year so I’ve had it for about six months now and I’ve been really trying with it and it just hasn’t gotten better. You would think for the price this would be an OK starter camera, but it is not. The only thing I could compare it to is a toy you would get for a child. I recently took it on a trip and I had to stop using it halfway through throughout the week because of how terrible my pictures were turning out. I will add some to show you. I’ve tried several different modes, changing settings around, doing an automatic mode, and nothing is helping. I’ve been very disappointed with this camera and I don’t think I’ll ever be using a Kodak again. The zoom quality is cool if you could make up what you’re zooming into, but you can’t. The battery life is fine and that is the only thing that I haven’t had an issue with. I would say it’s more compact than an average camera you would see, but there’s definitely smaller cameras that cost less and are way better than this one, which I will be purchasing instead of using this. I am very disappointed in this waste of money and I wish I could return it and get my money back. If you like spending your money on things that work do not buy this. I will attach photos that I’ve taken with this camera that are the worst quality photos I’ve ever taken.

Decent Budget Camera, but Not for Classes Requiring RAW

I purchased this camera for a photography class and only owned it briefly before returning it, so I can't speak to its long-term reliability. Overall, though, I didn't think it was a bad camera at all. It's relatively small and easy to carry around, and for the $149 I paid at the time, it seemed like a decent option for someone looking for an inexpensive dedicated camera. It runs on AA batteries, so if you plan on using it regularly, I would definitely recommend getting a set of rechargeable batteries rather than constantly buying replacements. The reason I returned it was specifically because of my photography class. I needed a camera capable of shooting in RAW format, and while researching this model beforehand I found conflicting information about whether it supported RAW. After receiving and testing it, I confirmed that it only saves still images as JPEG and does not support RAW. That's not really a fault with the camera since RAW isn't advertised as a feature on the Amazon listing, but it did mean the camera couldn't meet the requirements for my class. If you're a student looking for an inexpensive camera for a photography course, I would check your course requirements before purchasing this one. I paid $149 for it, while it's currently around $179 at the time of this review. I think it can still be a decent choice if you're looking for a relatively inexpensive camera and don't need RAW support. For photography classes that specifically require RAW, though, you'll need to look elsewhere.

Great For Nighttime and Macro Photography But...

I bought this camera for a trip to Ecuador and the Galápagos. I think it did a great job with macro and night photography. It's a great little point-and-shoot camera. However, it was a little disappointing when it came to landscapes, portraits, and overcast weather. It really struggled with overcast lighting and not in a charming 2000's camera way. I think it's worth it to buy it used and it's super fun. I would give it 3.8 stars if I could. It just left a little to be desired and my friend's 2000's Canon digital camera off eBay performed better overall. Again, great for macro and night pics. I've included some of my best photos from the trip. I think I took about a thousand photos and only a few hundred turned out how I wanted them to. The shutter speed is really slow even on priority shutter mode. I think this camera is worth the used price (I spent around $100), especially if you're willing to take a lot of meh photos to get some good ones. If I had more money and time, I would have looked around longer and experimented more. But I think it just depends on your use and what you're looking for. Fun little camera!

You absolutely do not have to have a $$$camera to be a photographer this is enough

I love this camera, it's a very good bridge camera, I still shoot in Auto but it is allowing me to develop my craft. One thing I would mention is depending on your style of photography if you're wanting to take shots that are in the moment don't turn it off and then wait for that moment to happen and then turn it on and expect it to be right there. It has a couple seconds it takes to power on and for the barrel to activate my recommendation is get some rechargeable batteries and have a good number of them, it's four double A's and just keep it on. When you get low on battery just walk them out I shot for a few hours and I only had to change the batteries once. But at that time I was turning it on and off on and off. Sometime later I got a beater camera that is the AZ 251 and I was able to keep it on for hours taking pictures zooming in regularly and only had to change the batteries twice so about a full day of shooting I expect this camera as much the same anyway I highly recommend a lot of people a lot of photographers feel like they have to have an expensive camera you don't have to here's a picture I took with this camera
