  • Nice addition to our build plate inventory
Color: PEO PET (Diamond+Carbon Fiber) Size: 264x276mm
Same quality as all the plates from this seller. Zero failures, my minimal glue, great looking prints!

  • Great plate for the price. Turn up the heat a bit
Color: PEO PET (Diamond+Carbon Fiber) Size: 264x276mm
Initially I was having similar issues to some of the people on here saying the prints wouldn't stick. I ended up turning up the build plate temperature to 60° C and it seems to have fixed the issues for me. This combined with ironing makes some slick prints. A little bit thicker than the OEM plate, so I have to re-level when ever I use itt, but that is fine. So, now it is working great and looks like as long as I take care of it, should last a long time. Edit/Update - the diamond side is good with higher heat...still can't get the carbon fiber side to be reliable. Will keep trying different settings ... show more

  • Good Concept but Adhesion Issues Made It One‑Time Use
Color: PEO PET (Diamond+Carbon Fiber) Size: 264x276mm
I really wanted to like this build plate, but I ran into adhesion problems pretty quickly. Prints didn’t stick reliably unless I added glue, and after a few uses the surface started peeling up in spots. Once that happened, it became a one‑and‑done situation. It’s a fun idea and the texture finish looks nice, but durability just wasn’t there for me ... show more

  • A fantastic build plate with a couple cool patterns
Color: PEO PET (Diamond+Carbon Fiber) Size: 264x276mm
The media could not be loaded. I really like this spring steel build plate. One because it's strong and fits perfectly on the bed of my Kobra S1. It has the two small notches to fit exactly like the OEM plate that comes with the printer. Two, each side has a really cool pattern that is transferred to your prints. Carbon fiber and a diamond like effect that is very neat when you move your print around letting light hit it differently. I see there are now more options available that weren't there when I got this one and the price on each is very reasonable, making it affordable to customize your prints in many ways. I will definitely be getting a couple more of these plates with the other patterns. ... show more

  • Add amazing texture to your prints.
Color: PEO PET (Diamond+Carbon Fiber) Size: 264x276mm
First, let me explain a couple of the pictures. The print failure, in my opinion, was caused by a small piece of filament that got left underneath the bed—and also by me not doing a calibration after flipping to the carbon fiber side of the plate. I left the failure in to show what happens if you don’t recalibrate the printer after flipping the build plate. I’m used to textured PEI sheets, so the weight and flexibility of this plate really surprised me. It’s more flexible than the spring steel I’m used to, but it doesn’t feel like you’re going to snap it in half when you pull a print off. Out of all my printers, the S1 is the first one I’ve ever used with this style of plate. For me, it’s a really neat novelty to be able to “re-texture” the first layer I print. But for stuff like these butterflies—it’s just incredible. It adds such beautiful extra detail to flat surfaces. When I first saw videos of people using this kind of surface, I thought it was impossible. When you run your finger over it, you can feel the texture—but it’s very faint. Very, very fine. So, I pulled the first butterfly print off (yes, I did all the recalibrations on that one). I wiped the front bed with rubbing alcohol to remove the oils from my fingers. That print came out beautiful, and it was on the side opposite the carbon fiber texture. I wanted to see what the carbon fiber side would look like, so I cleaned it with alcohol and hit print—but I didn’t recalibrate after flipping the plate. That’s when the failure happened. Afterward, I found a small piece of filament under the bed, so I’m chalking that up as the likely cause. Overall, I’m excited. Now my brain is spinning with ideas for how to use this surface. I don’t usually print toys—maybe just for my nephews—but I’ve got other practical uses in mind. This plate won’t be for everything, but when I go to make something special, I’m definitely going to use it. I’ve been thinking about making name badges, and having that holographic first layer is just something else. I’m still figuring out how to use that effect creatively, especially since it only works on the side that touches the bed—you can’t do it up the walls or on the top layer. But still, I’m thrilled that it works and excited to experiment more. ... show more

  • Clean it Before Using It
Color: PEO PET (Diamond+Carbon Fiber) Size: 264x276mm
I ordered this IdeaFormer Kobra S1 build plate for my AnyCubic Kobra S1 3D printer, because I had another 3d printer and I damaged the build plate, within a couple of months of owning it, so I wanted a backup for my new Kobra S1. This is a double sided build plate and each side has a different pattern that transfers to the bottom layer of your 3D models. This build plate is a perfect fit for my Kobra S1. This build plate didn’t come with any instructions and you would think that none are needed. However, the first two things I tried to print, would not stick to this plate. I had to stop the printer, both times. After doing some research, I found that my printer might need calibration for this new plate. I also found that the new plate might need to be cleaned, before using, so I cleaned both sides with alcohol. I checked the calibration square , before printing, then printed a 15 minute Benchy, for each side of the build plate. It worked perfectly, for both Benchies. I took a photo of each Benchy, with a Benchy from my original build plate in the middle (it is red). This is now my favorite build plate, to use for printing all my 3D models. I would have given this build plate 5 stars, had I known that I should wipe it clean and calibrate the printer for the new plate. ... show more

  • Novel Patterns!
Color: PEO PET (Diamond+Carbon Fiber) Size: 264x276mm
I have encountered no issues while using this build plate. My prints have consistently stuck to the plate to the finish and, once cooled down, released from the plate with ease. The diversity and uniqueness of the patterns have created some curious prints that do entice attention.
