Excellent product that makes wrenching on anything a lot easier as you won’t be having to go back and forth to your tools to grab a different size wrench over and over. The “ratcheting”/reset action of these pliers is great, as is how it “locks on” to the object and the fact that you really only need to press/pull on the top handle bar. If you’re spinning a long bolt out you can really just about twirl one finger to rotate the pliers and bolt! Buy yourself a pair today, you won’t regret it! The pictures don’t show this but I think they should. They are marked metric on one side and imperial on the other. I searched for a model that would have imperial with no luck. Turns out it’s already there. The black set I got in 10” didn’t have imperial. I quickly maxed out the 10” on action sprinkler parts so the 12” was what I wish I would have got first. ... show more

I LOVE this Knipex. Most people in the edc world buy the Cobras first, but you actually would want to start with these because of the bolt handling capabilities. That is, handling bolts and nuts without marring them. More often than not, people will run into situations where they’ll need to handle undoing nuts and bolts over doing whatever the Cobras can do. That isn’t a dig at the cobras—in fact, I believe it is actually ideal to have both. And now I finally do! 10/10 build quality 10/10 handling even though the ergonomics are a but funny I highly recommend it. Get 2 if you can! Or get 1 of these and a Cobra XS and you’ll be all set to handle just about any task. ... show more

After reading about 50 rave reviews for this product I figured to give it a try. After all, with prime I could return-no problem. In fact if they want it back they will have to send an armed representative to pry it out of my clutched hands. I doubt that I will ever willingly use a Crescent wrench or channel lock pliers again. This is the best tool I have ever had, and I am a lifelong tool junky of the worst kind. When they say that it replaces an entire wrench collection, that is just the tip of the iceberg. You really have to have it in hand to see how incredibly cool it is. I got the 7” size which is a great pocketable choice and can do things that would normally need a much larger tool. Grab this and a good screwdriver (Vessel screw drivers are excellent) and you can do almost any project. The only problem is that now I want to get a bigger one too for those monster plumbing jobs. I’ll just have to save up. Or maybe the Knipex people will reward me for a suggestion I have for a simple enhancement that would make this tool even more useful. If the upper jaw was sharpened right at the back where it meets the slider it would make an excellent wire cutter that would probably even work for good-sized nails. ... show more

Expensive? Yes. Functional and ridiculously light to carry also a yes. It's easy enough to pick up and just start tightening things without acratching or marring or stripping bolt faces or similar fasteners. Wish I would have caved and bought one years ago. I just bought another one for the rare but inevitable instances of needing to hold one thread still while tightening or loosening another. ... show more
