Size:7-1/2", 10" , 12" This popular pliers set is a great starter set for all of your box-joint alligator water pump pliers. The set includes all the most popular size pliers including a 7-inch, 10-inch and 12-inch. Grips any shaped object (view larger)... Providing more output and comfort compared to conventional water pump pliers of the same length, the Knipex Alligator water pump pliers offers nine adjustment positions for 30 percent more gripping capacity and good access to the workpiece due to the slim size in its head and joint areas. It's so versatile, it can be used in any industry — automotive, electrical, HVACR, industrial, and even DIY.This set (model 00 20 07 US1) includes three Alligator water pump pliers: 7-1/4-inch (88 01 180), 10-inch (88 01 250), and 12-inch (88 01 300) models.A serrated gripping surface on the jaws allows for gripping any shaped object — round, square, hex, or flat. Plus, the tool's teeth are induction hardened for wear resistance and a longer life. A box joint provides directional stability when working in any environment. This dual channel design offers the operator increased confidence that the tool will not bend or break under heavy duty working conditions. A fine adjustment enables you to find the perfect setting for different sized workpieces.By adjusting the handles to get the appropriate width, you can lock the jaws into place to avoid slipping off the workpiece. Once locked into position, you won't have to squeeze the handles to get a greater grip. Only downward pressure on the top handle is needed to firmly hold the object. The Alligator also has a forged on pinch guard that prevents the operator's fingers and hands from being pinched. Because the guard is forged at the same time that the tool is made, it will last as long as the tool itself. ...round, square, hex, or flat (view larger). Quality in Every DetailSometimes we give our pliers a really hard time. We try to destroy them to find out what makes them good and long lasting. Because we don't want to leave anything to chance, we take a long, careful look. The steel Knipex uses is precisely hardened with a maximum of 0.8 percent carbon and defined parts of chromium and vanadium, guaranteeing optimum cutting performance and service life — even though it requires special production and costs a bit more. But our high product demands require this. The rivet of our high-leverage diagonal cutter also has to stand up to a lot of stress. That's why we literally give it backup: we forge it straight onto the pliers. This means extra effort as we have to precision mill the rivet to a few hundredth millimeters. But satisfied users are worth this effort.Knipex also looks closely at the small details. The angles, the sharpness, the hardness, the toughness of the cutting edges. The precision and smooth movement of the joint. The handle design and the finish. We keep reviewing these subjects, we research, we test, and we improve our pliers.About KnipexHeadquartered in Wuppertal, Germany, Knipex is an independently owned family enterprise steeped in tradition and specializing in the manufacturing of high-quality pliers. It all started back in 1882 when C. Gustav Putsch set up his own forge shop in Cronenberg (now a suburb of Wuppertal), and the company is now run by a fourth generation of that family. The world's leading brand in pliers today, Knipex is focused on the performance, service life, and ergonomics of its tools in order to meet the high expectations of professional users.00 20 07 US1 3-Piece Alligator Pliers SetAt a GlanceSelf-locking on pipes — no slipping on the workpiece and low handforce requiredThin head design is perfect for working in confined or hard-to-reach areasSerrated gripping surface with special hardened teethGrips any shaped object — round, square, hex, or flatBox joint design provides directional stabilityChrome vanadium heavy-duty steel, forged and oil-hardened 7-1/4-inch (88 01 180, view larger). 10-inch (88 01 250, view larger). 12-inch (88 01 300, view larger). 5.0 out of 5 stars | Finally, some quality hand tools
Size: 7-1/2", 10" , 12"
Since financial lampreys have ruined most of the old quality tool brands like Stanley, (now nothing but a label plastered onto cheaply made junk from overseas), one has to search for tools that work. Something as simple as a pair of pliers or an adjustable Crescent wrench still need to be made to tolerances that allow them to function without damaging the item they are used on. Yes, these pliers are expensive, but the cost and frustration of a slipping tool and damaged fittings that cheap tools produce are much greater than the modest premium you pay for these. Besides, they are a delight to hold, look great, and your when grandchildren pass them on they'll be working as well as the day you bought them.

1.0 out of 5 stars | Move along. Not worth it.
Size: 7-1/2", 10" , 12"
No idea why people give these things such great reviews. Near impossible for the pliers to stay in the slot you select. As soon as you open them a little to get a grip on something they slip to the bigger slot and then won’t grab crap. Spend more and get the ones that lock into place. Just spent 30 min trying to get have these things be useful. Do not recommend.

3.0 out of 5 stars | Get push button adjustment
Size: 7-1/2", 10" , 12"
Knipex is the ish. These pliers will do whatever you need them too. Why 3 stars? I hate, hate the grove adjustment. The button adjustment is so much better. I have Irwin grove and there great. These pliers won’t stay in grove. Set them in grove you want and they will come out and gotta re adjust. Cannot use these one handed. Spend the extra and get button adjust. I remodel bathrooms, I know how to use tools. Not a diyer homeowner. These suck, hate them.

5.0 out of 5 stars | Outstanding Pliers. Tight, Good range of use, good jaw contruction
Size: 7-1/2", 10" , 12"
Great plier set. Expensive compared to even Craftsman but better, a lot better. Greater control and not sloppy. So much range. And the range of openings hold. I've had pliers where I set the amount of opening and then it moves on its own. Also, the angles are good most pliers are designed so the more they open, the more off the angle is. The jaws grip better than Craftsman too. I've never had snap on alligator style pliers so I can't compare (and they aren't cheap either). But I bought Bluepoint from Taiwan and they didn't hold up at all, they got sloppy in a year. So you are going to pay for good pliers and if you use them a lot like I do to work on my cars, household repairs, etc., they are worth every penny. I like the set because it's not much more than buying two pliers individually and these three cover most jobs. The big ones are big enough to compress break calipers, the little ones great for spring hose clamps. The medium and large ones for plumbing. In fact, I used the small pliers today to put in a sprayer in my kitchen sink. So they are excellent and I put them to work on day one and they immediately became my go to pliers.

4.0 out of 5 stars | Great pliers work extremely well
Size: 7-1/2", 10" , 12"
pliers work great , designed to get into tight areas the jaws are thin . Made extremely well the teeth on the jaws are the best I’ve ever used , they won’t pinch you when using , I’m only giving 4stars because they rust quickly , I have to wipe them down with WD after getting them wet , they should have laqured the metal to help prevent this other than that they are the best plyers I have owned

5.0 out of 5 stars | Great gripping power
Size: 7-1/2", 10" , 12"
So much easier to use than standard old pipe wrench. Was able to easily remove anod rod from water heater. Slim design and gripping power make these a must for plumbing work. Wish I’d had these years ago.

5.0 out of 5 stars | Only down side is the price.
Size: 7-1/2", 10" , 12"
I am in maintenance and these surpass all other brands I have used just took some convincing of the better half that I needed another set this makes 3 between work tool box and home tool box. I always have these with me on the road traveling or at work and even at the inlaws place when they call for a leaky faucet.

5.0 out of 5 stars | Two technologies brought to a useful tool!!
Size: 7-1/2", 10" , 12"
The epitome of quality. Love channel locks as a very useful tool but found they chewed up my work all the time. These are similar to plumbers wrenches so you won't slip as easily. The large one is incredibly large and the small one would work great for finer work. Definitely recommending this to friends! Email me at with any questions!
