I bought these for doing hundreds of cuts on spiral binding for books in a production environment. They were stiff, but I used some valve grinding compound, then flushed them and lubed them and they are great. 800 books later, (1600 cuts) and they are so much better than my old ones. yes only plastic covered aluminum wire, but the comfort grip. and the sharpness of the knives makes a difference for my use ... show more

These work just fine and I tested the handles with (low) voltage but the cutting head had dings and burrs all over it. I was expecting a work of art with what everybody told me about how "oh German made tools are the best, Knipex is the best". But I don't care what the tool looks like or even what country it comes from -- I care if it gets the job done, is durable, and meets technical specifications. ... show more
