This is a good, durable, and NOT heavy extension cord! The weight is the best part, as all of our other outside cords seem to be so heavy. It does what it's supposed to do - though it has been rolled up for several months, it laid flat on our porch and under our doormat to extend our holiday decorations. I only wish it had two plugs, but that's not a product design issue, that's a what I need issue.

As an extension cord, no problem. However I have had this extension cord outside for about 6 months now and while it works great, the bright orange has faded to a more white color now with a little orange.

The 16-gauge wire appears sturdy and well-made, instilling confidence in its ability to withstand outdoor conditions. While comparing it to other 16-gauge extension cords I've used, I did notice that the KMC cord is slightly softer and more flexible. However, it's worth noting that this softness might result in a slightly reduced resistance to wear and tear over time. In terms of performance, the KMC 20ft Outdoor Extension Cord excelled when used to power my 13A electric lawnmower. Despite the high power demands of the lawnmower, the cord handled it with ease, and there were no issues with overheating or voltage drops. The extension cord's capacity to handle the 13A load without problems showcases its capability as a reliable outdoor power solution.

This is a decent little extension cord. I couldn't believe how small it was when it arrived rolled up, but it really was 20 feet long when I uncoiled it. It is pretty supple, not springy like some cords that don't like to stay coiled. I think the quality of the connectors is as good as any other consumer-grade cord I have. Pricing seems a bit high compared to the ones at the tool store or big box stores, but this cord is supposed to be all copper and I am not sure if the cheaper ones are or not. I suspect not, because the tool store cord is rated at 13A and this one is 15A. So, something to consider instead of just price only. I'm happy with how this is doing its job, and can recommend it to anyone.

Got this for running a vacuum on our backs porch that we use to clean around our washer and dryer/lint trap. The outlet on the porch is connected to the same breaker as our washer so running both sometimes tripped our breaker on hot days. This cord ran the shop vacuum without issue and I didn't feel it getting warm near the receptacle end of the cord. Quality is superior to the $10 walmart 16/3 25ft cord we bought a few months before but I think this product would be more competitive at 20 usd vs the 25 it is at time of posting. For 25+ you could move up to a 12 or 14 gauge.
