It is pretty easy to inflate (by mouth), comfortable to sleep on, easy to pack up back into the original bag, small (about the size of a nalgene style water bottle) when rolled up, and light weight. It is a bit on the noisy side to move around on. I haven't found that to be a major issue, but worth noting. It just arrived. I blew it up with about 20 breaths and it seems pretty good so far. Comfy on the back lawn for a one minute test. It’s actually smaller and lighter weight than I thought when it’s all compressed and rolled up. Takes a little bit of time and effort to get it deflated and repacked, as well as inflated but hopefully the pluses outweigh the minuses. ... show more

I like this pad a lot for backpacking. I've taken it on 3 week long backpacking trips and a dozen or so weekend trips. Pros: - very cost effective - very light. There is no insulation in here. - the "static V" shape really does help with comfort. - durability, as I mentioned, this pad has held up much longer than I expected. I've been on about 12-15 trips with this pad and had no leaks. I'm pretty careful not to let any rocks or sticks in the tent when rolling it up. - space: I used to have a foam accordian sleeping pad. This pad is definitely much more compact in the pack and can be stored internally. Cons: - comfort, it isn't as comfortable as I would like. I am a 190lbs and I can't really side sleep with this pad. Plan on stomach or back sleeping if you are over 160lbs or so. - not too much else, pretty good pad especially for backpacking. ... show more

Works really well, it’s lightweight and compact. Not very difficult to inflate, but also doesn’t get quite full. However this isn’t an issue when laying down as your weight is distributed and you’re still off the ground.

Excellent budget pad FOR SUMMER ONLY. This pad has almost no insulation between you and the ground, which is very important in a sleeping pad. Your sleeping bag insulation is compressed under your body and offers little insulation between you and the ground, so your pad needs to provide that insulation. Personally I recommend you spend just a couple more bucks and get the newer model, the V2 which has enough insulation to be good for 3 seasons and is almost the same price. ... show more

This pad is beyond lame. What a ripoff. It should cost maybe $10.00 and it probably cost $2.00 to make. I got a sleeping pad from Walmart by the brand Decathlon for $48 that is far superior. I purchased the one from Amazon because my dog chewed up the Decathlon pad. The only thing I liked about the klymit was its narrow width. You will have to blow this pad up by mouth, which isn't that bad since it's so small and their are many sections that do not inflate. The material is very flimsy and the seams don't look substantial. It is very small and lightweight, so I guess if you wanted to bring it backpacking you could; however, I don't know that it would be comfortable on cold, bumpy, ground. I can't speak to comfort because after inflating it I decided it needed to be returned because of the poor quality. It says free returns by the product information, for which I am very grateful because I felt duped by paying so much for this lame sleeping pad. You'd be better off buying a pad that you could float on around a swimming pool because that would be about the same quality as this pad. ... show more
