Call me a picky pillow person. A great pillow is very important to me because I need a good nights sleep or I'm grumpy the next day! When I first opened it and removed it from the plastic, I was a little worried that it wasn't thick enough. But I remember reading other reviews stating to put it in the drier (on low heat) for a bit and, wow, it really helped puff it up. I like my pillows on the medium to firm side, and I'd say this is medium firmness and very comfortable. For car camping this is great. For backpacking it may be a bit on the large / heavy side, but I'm willing to accept that in order to be super comfortable while sleeping (I also have a slightly larger / heavier sleeping pad for the same reason). There is no odor at all which is appreciated. I also like the inside - out conversion feature. I use the microfiber side if I'm camping and I use the polyester side while traveling (I figure it's better for protecting the pillow on airplanes). Firstly, this pillow is SUPER comfortable. I have the large version. The switcheroo from nylon cover to soft sleeping material is easily done. Granted it is a bit heavy for camping/backpacking. I do bring it on the shorter walk back pack trips and makes a huge difference to me as a side sleeper. While I can appreciate that memory foam is more comfortable than an air pillow or an air pillow with bits of foam - as this pillow has so much foam inside, the option to add a little bit of air to beef it up could be useful. But nonetheless, it’s super comfortable. I may not bring it on a plane as carry on, though perhaps the smaller size might be good for that. All in - WINNER. ... show more

I love this pillow because it is the perfect size, not too puffy and not too flat. I am able to pack it down to about 8x8 with a compression bag. I actually like this pillow more than the pillow I use at home!

I like the ability to change the cover the way these do, but am I bit underwhelmed with the overall “fluffiness”/size of these. They work well and I’m happy with them, I just wish they were a bit bigger for comfort. The protective cover is nice, and the soft material is nice as well.

This is a great pillow, and an amazing camp pillow. I sleep with this every night at home. Every night. I’ve got neck pain, and the pillow is soft enough, and small enough, that I can move it to exactly where I need it. It’s made with incredibly comfortable contour form chunks, so you can form the pillow exactly how you need it. Your head just sinks in, without getting lost in the pillow. Now, the camping part, which is incredible. It’s a decent size, but not too big for those smaller tents or bunks. It has a nice travel system, the outside case is water proof tent material, which you open and shake the pillow down into its soft sleep case, and then roll the travel case into the end. Watch a video to see what I mean, it’s very smart. Everything is one piece so there is nothing to lose. (You can unzip the case to wash it.) The only extra piece is a Velcro strap which is used to made the pillow really compact for storage. I’ve already gotten my money’s worth from this after just a month. ... show more

Bought this for deployment and it has made it 3 months so far. Amazing and comfortable pillow, folds down fairly small with a weatherproof sack included inside of it. I'm going to purchase a second one when I get back home so that I have 2 for camping.

I bought this pillow a year ago for a long trip. I’m a terrible sleeper and I thought having my own pillow as I hopped across England I might not be a sleep deprived zombie at the end of the trip. It was not just a comforting bit of home it is a great pillow for a side sleeper. I have since taken it car camping a few times- comfortable as well. Definitely worth the money.
