  • Great bang for the buck
Style: Wireless
I use this in a large space (the general room dimension is 16x29, and split up by the couch - basement level with 8 foot ceilings) for a 7.1.4 home theater. I bought the wireless model as it happened to be on sale and was cheaper than the wired model at the time. The wireless is nice as it gives a bit more flexibility in placement and can honestly say that I don't notice any any delays vs a wired connection. There's also power to spare. I don't typically listen at super high volumes, but I turn it up on occasion and it doesn't skip a beat. I've got the gain set at about 45% and crossover set to around 40Hz. It's primarily used for movies and does a great job of sending sound you can feel. It's also a good match for music (typically hard rock in my house) and it adds exactly what is needed, but I'm not an audiophile - it simply suits my tastes very well. It's currently $298 on Amazon and I don't think you'll find a better one for the money. There are likely cheaper options out there, but there's also a solid demand for Klipsch so I suspect it'll hold it's value making it easier to upgrade down the road. ... show more

  • Good price, wireless!

If you can get this sub for the price that I found, $227, you should grab it. I'm not sure why subs cost so much, I've been in the live music business for a long time and that's just the way it is and apparently that transfers to the home audio market as well. So I was pleased when I found this 12-in sub with 400 watts of power that cost less than the Klipsch speakers that I purchased. It's not Bluetooth but does connect wirelessly with a tiny transmitter which is easy to setup. I do not seek super sub frequency thumping so if that's what you're looking for, I can't comment. But my small Klipsch bookshelf speakers, although good quality, do not go deep enough. This single sub rounds out the full frequency range nicely. Being able to select the cutoff range and volume on the unit itself is handy. I placed it invisibly behind a living room chair. ... show more

  • I paired this with a Sennheiser Ambeo Max soundbar in my RV.
Style: Wireless
Whew! It’s a bit much for the space but sounds great. This subwoofer may just blow out my windshield if I don’t take it easy. The size is a bit bigger than I expected, so I probably should have gone with the 10” model, but it’s a big RV, so that’s not a serious problem. The sub just doubles as an end table for one of the sofas. What I really like is that it is wireless, so I don’t have to string wires through or under the RV to connect it. I notice no latency issues. This thing is a BEAST! Pair it with a good quality system and you find yourself wanting to listen to all your favorite music again just to see how it sounds when it sounds like it’s supposed to sound. ... show more

  • Great Boom for Buck
Style: Wireless
At the purchase price of $300, you'll have a hard time finding another subwoofer offering the same features and sound quality. The biggest draw for me was the wireless connection, as running a subwoofer cable was impractical in my case. It has been solid, and required no extra work on my part. The wireless transmitter was pre-paired to the subwoofer, and I have had no interruptions, disconnects, or interference yet. Sound quality is pretty good. I haven't experienced any muddy, sloppy, or terribly boomy bass. Especially since adding some sound isolation feet, and using my receiver's room calibration adjustments, I've been pretty happy. This sub has plenty of power - I keep the gain dial at about 30%. I have yet to wish it could get louder in my system. Although, it's not without its drawbacks. The biggest being its low-end frequency response. It's rated at 29Hz +/-3dB, but realistically, you'll get something more like 35Hz. For a 12-inch driver, I'd love for it to get much closer to 20Hz. And when you are within its frequency range, you'll find that it's not very flat, peaking noticeably around 50Hz. This will of course vary by room dimensions and whatnot, but don't expect a flat response curve from this. While not perfect, it's a darn good value, and will be perfectly acceptable for most home theater applications - good enough for me that I've purchased another for an additional room. If you're looking at $300 or less subs, don't hesitate with this one, it's absolutely worth the price. But if it sells for more than that, start looking at other options, or save for something in $500-$600 range. At the end of the day, this subwoofer continues to put a smile on my face. ... show more

  • Great sub for a great price
Style: Wireless
This is my first time using Klipsch equipment. My old sub died on me and I decided, hey why not upgrade while I'm at it. This thing makes the whole house shake and I'm barely even turning the master on the back of the box. Install could not have been easier and their doesn't seem to be any latency even though this product uses a wireless transmitter. I don't have a whole lot of experience in the world of subwoofers, but this seems like a well built and good looking product that also has some great bass (at least compared to my old sub). ... show more
