This CD player works fine. Sound quality seems on par with streamed Amazon music when compared to the same CD when played through Sony studio monitor headphones. Volume is on the low side though. Headphones that come with it aren't horrible, but pretty muddy and lacking in bass response. Okay in a pinch, maybe for pop music. My only negative would be that the belt loop on the carrying case is so small that only the tiniest of belts will fit through. ... show more

My first encounter with KLIM brand, I have to admit I am impressed. This player does not have the cheap plastic feeling. Though maybe not quite up to the build quality of the Technics portable CD players I had twenty five years ago, this player in my opinion is head and shoulders above most you can find in retail stores today. The usability and capability is also matching the times. The anti-skip these days is so much better... To say nothing of the built-in battery. I do not think you can place true value on on longer having to carry around spare batteries (alkaline or rechargeable.) The on-ear headphones included are quite decent as well. While feeling as an afterthought in terms of the build quality, I believe they are still offering much better sound experience than earbuds included with most portable players and are quite comfortable even with my big head. I have found absolutely no issues with the music CD playback. The normal functions (random, repeat etc) that are sometimes missing on the players today work well. The equalizer functions. It is nice to see the CD turning, if maybe a bit disappointing to see it stop during playback with anti-skip buffer filling up. A person unfamiliar with operation of a portable CD player might be surprised with the sound of the motor moving the laser head which is absolutely normal. Before moving to secondary functions and accessories, I wanted to mention the packaging. It is exceptionally well thought out and designed. From very clear design of the box to included stickers, to say nothing about the funny comic strip. The spelling error in the indicator menu "Bluethooth" was a bit funny. Playing burned MP3 CDs while I had no complaints about playback itself, I did encounter some issues in what was shown on the indicator - the file names (track names) were frequently showing up as lines of empty rectangles with an occasional hieroglyph. When the same files were played from the TF card the file names were showing fine. TF card playback deserves special mention, specifically how long can the battery last for it - as I had it play for over 30 hours starting with the battery that was only half full. Incidentally, I feel that most users are more likely to use a TF card than a burned CD, which further decreases the seriousness of the previous issue mentioned. We also have a relatively nice carry case that (like most such these days) does not provide for having wired headphones connected to the player when closed. It also has a belt clip that is a bit too tight. Still it does offer good enough protection to the player and allows for use when connected using Bluetooth. Lastly, a minor error in the listing description that in one place mentions "Earphone accessories (extra ear tips, lapel clip)" - which obviously does not apply and might be an artifact from a previous version of this player that had earbuds. Overall a very good product with minor issues that do not diminish its excellent features. ... show more

I am impressed with this one. The headphones are great, the battery seems to last after hours of music and it has a variety of options to choose from. This can be easily enjoyed by teens or adults. This takes “The Walkman” to a whole other level. Great quality and easy to use. The Bluetooth connectivity is good and the headphones are comfortable. I own multiple Klim items and I have no complaints about any of them. They're all sturdy with a good life span. This cd player is no exception. It's a plastic housing, but feels very sturdy. It opens and plays well. The buttons are actual push buttons and respond well to pushes. The head phones it came with are decent on ear, generic type headphones. I haven't really used them. I love that it's got Bluetooth. The battery lasts a long time. The display is large print and easy to read, but it's not back-lit, so can't really see it in the dark. I have not had any problems with skipping. I played it and shook it many times, hard and it played without missing a beat. ... show more

I ordered this cd player to go in my truck after I put a new stereo system in there and took out the existing one that came with the truck. I put in a touchscreen car play system that didn’t have a cd feature. Unfortunately, right after the new year, I had an accident and my truck was totaled. So I didn’t get the opportunity to use this cd player in the truck. It came with its own headphones so you could listen to a cd without disturbing other people in the truck. I have a pretty big collection of cd’s that I used to keep in the truck that I enjoy listening to when I take a trip or when I’m traveling.
