These pliers seem to be intended for use in plumbing applications. I'm not a plumber. However, I keep a pair of these in each of my cars and one in my toolbox at home. You can loosen and tighten very large nuts and bolts (without a trip to the toolbox), get that rusty hose off the outdoor spout, easily compress the ring seals on your washing machine's water feeds, install that new shower head, safely remove the threads from the cheap light bulb that broke off in the socket, assemble screw-on PVC pipe fittings, compress wire-clamps on automotive hoses, and tons more. If I was forced to make a list of 10 tools every home needs, these pliers would be on that list. Forget slip-joint pliers ever existed. The trick with designing good pump pliers is making them rigid enough so the rotating tab doesn't jump out of the groove you're using when applying a lot of force. This is one major difference between the pump pliers that comes in those "tool" sets of unrecognizable reputation, and Klein Journeyman pump pliers. As for quality, and durability, one of you're grandchildren will probably be handing these pliers down to their first-born child when they move out on their own. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. 10” pump pliers fit perfect in any tool pouch. Extremely versatile. Rubber coated hand grips definitely keep pliers from slipping out of your hand’s especially when sweating.

The Pliers that I receieved have been working great. The sliding action is much easier to adjust than any other set of pliers that I have owned. As with the other Journeyman tools the over molded handles are nice and comfortable. I have been using these daily for over a month and they haven't failed me yet. The one's I received were marked made in the U.S.A which is one of the reasons I buy Klein tools. That and they are just dependable when you rely on your tools to make a living. ... show more

The Jawas do not line up. Way off set, they do retract smoothly. Handles are comfortable but have a slight give it seems, for the money spent I figured it would be top of the line .
