The instructions could have been a bit better and using the tools included was awkward, but I figured it out and got this over the door basketball hoop assembled pretty quickly. The electronic scoreboard requires three AA batteries. I kind of wish there was a volume control on it because it’s pretty loud and the repetitiveness of the cheers gets annoying fast. The hoop itself is spring loaded and it can be folded up flat for storage by releasing the spring. The whole thing is sturdier than I anticipated for the price. The door hooks and hoop are all metal. They even included foam pads to fit between the backboard and door to protect the door from damage. Four balls come with it along with a small hand pump. I was very grateful for that so I didn’t have to break out the air compressor and try to find the correct fitting. Kids are going to love this game. It can be installed on practically any door and there are even a couple different types of countdown games included in the scoreboard unit. I LOVE that this folds away without having to be removed from the door! The foam pads are thick and durable and really keep the frame from rattling on the door, too! It was so easy to put together that I supervised my 11 year old to assemble it himself, with the exception of tightening a couple screws. It was nice to have everything ready in one box, so that in just a few short minutes, you go from unboxing to playtime...the hoop, scoreboard, balls, and adequate air pump with needle. The kids' favorite features are the scoreboard and the dunking ability...they feel like superstar athletes! My favorite featires are the foam pads that actually DO help keep it quiet, and the folding mechanism. 5 stars! ... show more

I love this miniature indoor basketball set, it comes with all the necessary items to install with clear instructions. Nice indoor basketball hoop that feels pretty sturdy. Took me about 15 mins to put together but would have be faster had I used my own own tools. The top screws (where you attach the door hooks) didn’t have anything to protect them from potentially scratching the front of the door (when hung) so I super glued some of the extra foam to the back of the screws as a per caution. Also be extra careful when you’re pumping up the balls because the needle seems fragile and could easily bend/snap. I wouldn’t suggest letting your child use it because ours has already broke from my son messing with it. Other than that I would def recommend for some indoor fun! ... show more

This set is MUCH sturdier than I anticipated at this price! The backboard is solid, hangs easily over a standard interior door, and it keeps score correctly. Not a lot of dunking going on (except for a Dad showing off - is "adult height advantage" considered a foul in a game against a 6 and an 8 year old? We decided it is!! LOL), but the rimm has good spring in it just in case. The balls are solid too - you want to make sure there are no pictures on nearby walls. Ask me how I know this to be important. This is a really great basketball game. The backboard goes over a door top, and the hoop comes with a sturdy, plexiglass backboard. The rim folds flat for storage when not in use. I like the scoreboard tally on the backboard and countdown clock (there are two countdown games you can play). You get four basketballs and a hand pump which is very convenient. The rim is spring-loaded so it collapses without breaking the backboard or bending the rim. This is a really good hoop kit. Super Christmas gift. Good price for quality of and features. ... show more
