  • NOTE: This is not a medical thermometer. Do not use to take temperature of forehead. Infrared thermometers can't measure the internal temperature of a human, or object; Infrared thermometers are only able to read external surface/skin temperatures and are not able to read internal body temperature. The measured temperature for humans will not be correct.
  • ACCURATE - Combining the latest temperature sensor technology and advanced Fresnel lens. Improve the accuracy of the thermometer by adjusting the emissivity 0.1-1.0 according to the surface material being measured. The distance to spot ratio is 12:1, which means you can measure the target at a longer distance. For the best accuracy, the thermometer should be 14 in/ 36 cm away from the object.
  • INSTANT TARGETING - Measure temperatures at at range of -58F to 896F(-50C - 480C) at a response time 500ms. Toggle between Celsius/Fahrenheit measurements as needed.
  • VERSATILE - Hands free infrared technology makes this thermometer useful to measure temperatures in both daily and industrial settings. Use it while cooking, performing auto/motor maintenance, home/commercial repairs, and more! Has a LCD backlight so you can view the temperatures even in the dark. • Great for cooking
Color: Orange
I got this mainly because I love to cook outdoor on my Blackstone, on my grills, and smokers. Sometimes you really need to know your hotspots so you can get good seats and also you don't overcook your food. So this helps a lot. It is made of good quality plastic. Easy to grip and really sturdy. It comes with the battery so no need to buy it separately. To use you just point and press the trigger. It will turn on automatically. As long as you keep the trigger press it will continue measuring the temperature and once you release the trigger it will display the temp for a minute or so and then it will shut down automatically. The screen is easy to read. It's backlit so you can use it at night and you can change between Celcius and Farenheit. I really recommend it. ... show more

  • Great cheap IR temperature gun, but my dog hates the beep!
Color: Orange
I use this often to make yogurt and check the temperature of hot water for tea. It's really cheap and does it's job well enough. I'm giving it 5 stars because I love it. I can't vouch for the accuracy, as I've not tested it against anything else, but it seems good enough. The only gripe I have is no way to easily disable the beeping sound. It is quite loud and I wouldn't use it in an office setting for example, to make sure my steeped at the right temperature, but also for some reason it really scares my dog! My dog hates it so much, I resorted to opening it up and disabling the speaker. You can pry the orange part of the cover with the buttons, lcd and speaker grill off. There are 2 screws, one hidden under the hinged battery door on the front grip. It may help a bit to remove them with flex to pop this cover off. The speaker is soldered onto the PCB, it has a circular, black contact cover that (has a small ⨁ sign). I twisted it off with needle nosed pliers, removing the contact. No more beeping! I've attached some pictures for others that may have this issue. ... show more

  • Way to complicated
Color: Orange
I really wanted this to work but had to return the item. First of all it's not very simple to use. There are different settings for every material your measuring. So if you want to measure cement you have to set it to the proper numbers for that. If you want to check metal there's a certain number for that as well. Not to mention the different types of metal have different numbers. Then you have materials that your not sure what its made of or what setting is the right one. Even when I had it set on the correct number the reading would change from one check to the next. I read my lizards tank rock. It read 110 then 76 then 94 all within seconds of eachother. This thing was maddening to try and use. No one has time to check the paper it came with, research what type of metal something is made of and then use it. Even then the readings were all over the place. I did like the laser and the ability to turn it off. It was also ver comfortable to hold. Perhaps I recieved a defective unit. But even if it worked properly I don't have time to do all that every time I want to use it. ... show more

  • Stopped working, Manufacturer Won’t Respond. Don’t buy!
Color: Orange
Loved this for first 5 months we had it - stored inside and used weekly or so for outdoor pizza oven and griddle. Suddenly stopped working. Flashes U6.6 error code and shuts off. The manufacturer offers lifetime warranty in their amazon listing, but the manufacturer will not respond when I directly email them through their website nor did they respond when I used the “contact third party seller” option through Amazon website. EXTREMELY frustrated that we cannot get any help troubleshooting error code or get a response from manufacturer to stand behind lifetime warranty they advertise. Amazon was no help - once it’s past the 90 day return window they told me my only recluse was to contact manufacturer directly - which is IMPOSSIBLE! Do not purchase - I specifically chose this one because of price and warranty. Find another manufacturer that has a customer service contact number and doesn’t false claim a warranty. ... show more

  • DOES NOT measure skin temp accurately but advertises “skin”
Color: Orange
THIS PRODUCT IS ABOUT 8 degrees low when checking body (skin) temperature! You mention Skin on the Emissivity Table!! You are now selling many of these because of the Coronavirus!! IF IT IS NOT MEANT FOR THE MEASURING SKIN (Forehead) TEMP THEN YOU ARE FALSE ADVERTISING AND DELETE THE WORD SKIN! Better yet state that it is NOT for Skin temp!! Why do you believe you received a spike in sales the last 3 weeks. Thank You, I look forward to your response! J Clark ... show more

  • Works great as woodburning stove thermometer!
Color: Orange
I find that there are truly "few" good deals in the retail market. However, THIS IS ONE OF THEM! I'm a woodburner in the cold months in Ohio, and keep a magnetic stove thermometer on the top of my woodburner to monitor the temperature of the cast iron stove. Those thermometers last a year and a half at most: the magnetic ability is lost due to occasional overheating, which also diminishes its accuracy and readability of the pad-printed temperature scale on its face. They're the same price as this product. Ease of use and accuracy out of the box is phenomenal; it never touches the hot surface so will never suffer heat damage; the warranty for such an inexpensive item is outstanding; and it even included batteries! Chalk me up as a fan! ... show more

  • Awesome!
Color: Orange
I just got this today but I've been playing around with it. Overall it seems very accurate. I use one at work to make sure our AC system is working and when I compare the two there is a very slight variance. However, the other model does note have EMS so I bet it is less accurate. The other thing to consider is the field of view. Many people think that wherever the laser is pointing is what it's measuring the temperature of. However, on these unit's it is 12:1. So if you're 1 foot away from what your laser is pointing at it will tell you the temperature of the 12" diameter around that area. The other unit i use is 10:1...better or worse if for you to decide. The EMS setting is super handy if you want to ensure you're getting an accurate reading based on the surface you're measuring. However, for the average Joe who just needs an average idea of if they can touch something that was once hot etc, leaving the EMS around 90 gives you a plenty accurate enough reading. Worth the price for the convenience. Good for around the house and in the garage. Can't speak to longevity because I just got it, but as long as it lasts and it's warranty is backed up, I'm happy. ... show more
