My son is obsessed with space, he is 5, and I was a little worried he wouldn't be too interested in a step by step direction project like this. I was so wrong, this was the best project for him. There's a little folder that comes with it that has a check box for all the activities and your child can earn their own Astronaut in Training certification when they check them all. That was exceptionally exciting for him. The directions are pretty easy for kids to figure out on their own as well since it has a lot of pictures. This is definitely worth the money and the time. A great way to spend a few hours. We split it into two days.

We just built the solar system out of this kit so far. It was fun and cool for my daughter to get hands on since we are learning about planets in our homeschooling currently but I will say the paint was missing from the kit and spinners slightly learn downward after they have all been put on the rod. Other then that it was good. I'm hoping no other parts are missing for the other activity in the kit!

I bought this for my niece who is five and her parents who love putting together kits with her. As one who does not enjoy such activities, I was delighted to hear that they enjoyed the process and that she learned about the solar system while working on this kit with her father.

My grandson loves this! It has so many different activities in one kit, painting, building, a rocket ship and learning where the planets are. Personally, I would love to have one of these myself, it's pretty cool.

This was my son's favorite present from his birthday, so I was a little disappointed to find the base for the solar system model crushed when we started getting ready to assemble it. Everything else was in good shape, and I was impressed by the quality of the planets. We assembled the launchpad and my son really enjoyed that part, I just need to find a replacement for the one low-quality part in this box.

The media could not be loaded. We love KiwiCo boxes, and I've purchased lots of them through the subscription service. I was so excited to see them available on Amazon now. These boxes make the best gifts because they are learning and creating something they can display. The Astronaut Starter Kit was easy to put together and comes with some extra pieces just in case. Everything you need is inside and the directions are very detailed and includes clear pictures so a little one can follow along easily. The solar system model is sturdy and we came wait to desolate it. The learning guide has great facts about space. Amazing value for two projects.
