The garlic press is very strong. Love the little grate on the back that clears out the holes. This one is going to last a long time. The little tube? You're supposed to put garlic cloves in there and roll it on the counter to peel off the skins. It didn't work very well for me; still had to use my fingernails to get the skins off. But the press by itself is worth the price so I'm not concerned about that really.

For the record I am reviewing: KITEXPERT Garlic Press, Premium Garlic Mincer with Ergonomic Grip Handle, Professional Garlic Presser Crusher and Peeler Set. Okay, this is not a bad garlic press. But having a friend that worked in a metal shop, has taught me a few things about precision tools. This could have been made a little bit better. By that I mean the two halves could come together tighter and the hinge could be a bit more sturdy. Overall it is a far improvement over the black painted aluminum one that I had that was peeling and leaving pieces of black pain in my crushed garlic. So, ya, I will use this one till someone designs a better one. It does the job, and it cleans a lot easier.
