These bowls are amazing, sturdy, easy-to-clean, easy to hold, easy to maneuver, don't slide around on the counter, and are simply the best mixing bowls I've ever seen. They are as perfect as you'll get. Amazing bowls. I only wish there was one more size just a bit larger than the largest. The largest size is closer to what I'd consider a "medium-sized" bowl, not a large. But regardless, 5 stars all around. These are great for hand-mixing, electric mixers, popcorn, cake batter, bread dough, desserts, salads, meat loaf, and more. Love the bowls! High and deep so contents don’t spill out when mixing. The handles are great to hold onto and make mixing effortless. Hard plastic does not bend. Bottom of each bowl has a ring of rubber so they don’t slip. Also has the size of the bowl on the bottom. Pour spout too! The really thought of everything when they designed these. Great set of mixing bowls, I love the empire red color! I appreciate the small tab-type handle for a better grip and the way they easily nest. I cannot speak to their durability, but as they clean up rather easily after use, I think I'll forgo the dishwasher to prevent the any potential brittleness the high heat water and drying process sometimes causes hard plastics. ... show more

The bowls are a nice size, and easy to use. It wasn't the quality I thought it would be. I expected something a little more like the good grips bowl, that are unbreakable plastic with rubber bottoms with no breakable edges. Its hard to tell when you don't see them in person. This is my second set of these bowls, with the first set given to me as a gift 16+ years ago, and they're even better than my old ones! These bowls are light, sturdy, and super easy to clean. The curvature of the underside of the handle works perfectly for a thumb-pinch hold while whisking, beating, or stirring and the rubber ring at the base keeps the bowls from slipping around, even if you're holding the bowl at an angle against your counter. My first set of these bowls began cracking at the point where the handle meets the rim of the bowl, but these newer ones have a little lip added around the rim that makes the bowls much stronger and probably less likely to crack over time. ... show more

This is my second set of KitchenAid Universal Nesting Plastic Mixing Bowls, Set Of 3. I have had the first set for 4 years and they are used almost every day. The reason for the second set is because after being used so often they were looking a little worse for ware and I must say... Very Important Reminder...DO NOT PUT IN THE MICROWAVE! The small bowl was put in the microwave by mistake and cracked. I love these bowls and use them all the time so I need a new set. You can't go wrong if you decide to purchase a set for yourself.
