I don’t write reviews. I buy anything I can through Amazon. Rarely do I see a need to go back, find an order, then write my feelings regarding the purchase. And this seems even more odd considering I’m writing a review about bowls. The truth is, I’m not sure if I love these bowls, or I love KitchenAid. However, this evening I just finished up the perfect dish. I was cleaning up when I noticed a hairline crack in the bottom of one of my bowls. The bliss of achieving culinary perfection violently plummeted to despair. I take care of my bowls. They are always hand washed, dried and put away with care. I would drop a baby before I drop one of these bowls. And yet I stand over my sink as if holding a wounded puppy. In December it will be 2 years that I’ve had these bowls. I’m hoping to report back that kitchenAid has made me whole. ... show more

This is my second set of KitchenAid Universal Nesting Plastic Mixing Bowls, Set Of 3. I have had the first set for 4 years and they are used almost every day. The reason for the second set is because after being used so often they were looking a little worse for ware and I must say... Very Important Reminder...DO NOT PUT IN THE MICROWAVE! The small bowl was put in the microwave by mistake and cracked. I love these bowls and use them all the time so I need a new set. You can't go wrong if you decide to purchase a set for yourself. I've had these for awhile now, and am very happy with these bowls. Easy to clean, I also have put them in the top rack of the dishwasher and they do fine. Easy to hold and pour, unlike other bowls I've had. Love the way they stack- they fit very nicely in my space-deprived cabinet. Great set of mixing bowls, I love the empire red color! I appreciate the small tab-type handle for a better grip and the way they easily nest. I cannot speak to their durability, but as they clean up rather easily after use, I think I'll forgo the dishwasher to prevent the any potential brittleness the high heat water and drying process sometimes causes hard plastics. ... show more
