Easily a girl power classic. Refreshing to see Melissa McCarthy in such a serious role, although there is plenty of humor to go around!

This definitely falls apart & plays out with cartoon-level bull$%^*. It wouldn't even be a good comic to read, but just a cheap cartoon toss-off that indulges in a phony gangland written by people who don't get it. Which would be fine if it presented itself as that. Problem is, brutal honesty is what makes gang films interesting. So it tries to sell itself as true crime, and feels like it's supposed to be based on a true story, with some excellent heartbreak, triumph and tragedy. But then it just takes turns that get more and more nonsensical and impossible in both the conflicts and their resolutions. No living human could walk the line of these characters; we'd either be much better, dead meat, or much worse. ... show more

I cannot begin to express the deep seeded desire I have for each and everyone of you to watch this FLICK!!..... So everyone of you folks out there in Ronaland.... Where u can't (don't have to) go out among the masses.... And if you for some ungodly reason desire to, and or have too... You must protect strangers from ur cootie flem, while getting high for free on your own carbon dioxide output..... Elbow rubbing wearing ur favorite MTV gang colors over your face.... That would have WITHOUT QUESTION.... Had u shot dead by cops just 2 months ago..... MERICA!! where literally nothing makes sense.... From phonics all the way to making more money sitting home getting fat...     • her mother beat her for being nice
she wanted to beat the kindness out of her, the character that Tiffany played. i felt such hatred for this mother. what an evil witch and there are a lot of those in this movie. i thought it was going to be a cute bank robbery. instead it's about empowering women to become mobsters, just like men, but when they charge you for protection and jobs you get jobs and protection. they may even lend you a dollar, but make no mistake they are criminals and murder people. they murder a jewish jeweler on the synagogue steps. stick to comedy. ... show more
