The light itself is a very cool design, however there are some serious issues with how this shipped, the quality of the fixture manufacture, and instructions for hanging the light. The fixture comes with plenty of chain and you are instructed to cut the chain to your desired length based on how high your ceiling is and where you want the pendant to hang. The instructions tell you to use the 2 included "Quick Links" to attach the chain to the light pendent, and to the ceiling fixture. However Revel DID NOT include the required parts (quick links) in my package, I have read some other reviews that mentioned this too, so something is up with this company's Quality Control. I had to go to homedepot and spend another $10-15 to find 2 replacement quick links and matte black spray paint so they matched the color of the chain. After finally getting the light hung, it turns out the bulb receptacle on this fixture (where you screw in the bulb) is severely BENT to the side! This means my lightbulb is not aligned straight down and its skewed obviously to the left or right depending on how much you screw it in. Since the whole point of this is to use an exposed filament bulb, it just looks stupid with the bulb not screwed in straight. Overall I'm really disappointed with this light because it did not include the required parts to install it, the bulb receptacle on my unit is severely bent. I really like the design of the light and thats the only reason I gave a 2nd star. I already put a lot of work to get this hanging so I'm hoping the company will provide a resolution for the bent fixture. ... show more

    • Light looks nice minus problem with chain link leading to not-so-nice looking chain ends
The light fixture itself it nice and as expected. I was very disappointed with the chain link ends. You end to adjust the chain link based on the length you want by prying open the links and removing the other portion. This was fine. The issue is that the links are hard to open (need pliers) and this process scratches up the rubber coating. It is pretty much impossible to close the links once the light is hung so two links remain slightly open and scratched around the opening. I ordered another hanging light with a chain from another company and they included two end loops that easily open and close so you just cut the chain length you want and pop on these ends. No scratched links, no pliers, no ugly looking gaps. I wish the Revel included these easy to use end links. ... show more

A little strange having the light bulb completely exposed, but now that we've had a few days to get used to that we really like it. The design is exactly what we were looking for to update the entry way of our house. The product came exactly as described, well packaged and we got it hung in about 10 minutes. My only complaint is that the metal chain that came included was very very hard to bend. We needed to shorten the chain and it was very hard to open and close the links to do so and when we used pliers to open and close it left teeth marks on the chain. With it hanging so high the teeth marks are not visible, but it would have made instillation much easier if the chain had been easier to adjust. other than that we love it and the design of the shadows that it casts on the walls are really cool! ... show more

I am sadly disappointed in this product. It didn’t come with a light bulb. The grounding cooper wire isn’t covered so when you have to put everything else on it, it threaded easily and we had to add electrical tape to keep it together. the chain isn’t threaded through the wires or attached I either end. You have to bend it to attach to the top and bottom of the light fixture. So when you go to bend the chain it scratches it up and the silver underneath now shows through. So I would really try a different place before purchasing. ... show more

I love the looks of this pendant lighting. It was exactly what I envisioned. I live in a manufactured home so while the ceilings are "vaulted" there really isn't a whole lot of space between floor and ceiling.That being said, the fact you can determine the length of this pendant light is one of the reasons I purchased. I also like the shadow of the geometric shapes it projects onto the ceiling. However installation and imperfection of light is why I didn't give this a five star rating. The directions list you need a type of hook to attach the chain to top and light. Looking at the picture you would think this would make things easier. Listening to my husband pull apart the chain curse and I am thinking these two pieces may have helped make the job easier. He used two sets of pliers to pull apart the links. The other glitch was determining the square from the round wire. Important because this determines which one is "black" and which one is "white". Finally, husband had to adjust the light bulb area because it didn't hang center to the pendant. Once he figured out wiring and what-not, it took both of us to install. I held the pendant while he connected the wires. With that being said I did receive an email from one of the company's investor's. The first explained the error with the instructions and offered a coupon for an Edison light bulb. The next two emails asked for feedback as they are a small company looking to improve their services and products. It felt sincere and, perhaps, this review will help them and you. ... show more

Product is supposed to come with 2 black quick links to attach to the chain. Mine did not and it will cost me an additional 12 dollars to get what according to the instructions should have been included

Light is a wonderful design, however, where the light bulb inserts is a little crooked as others have mentioned. The wiring is also not labeled, as my husband had to look up which wire looks neutral versus live wire. The wires are not labeled to match black and white.
