While this carb has lots of great reviews, I was a little concerned that a few recent reviews were not that good. I rolled the dice and ordered it. It installed easy and fit perfect. Fired up the mower and she purred like a kitten! No fuel mixture adjustment needed. I immediately mowed the yard to put the mower under load. Still no issues. I will update this review if any issues develop in the coming days.

I purchased this carburetor based on many positive customer reviews like with any item I buy. My Craftsman YT 3000 lawn tractor with the Briggs & Stratton 21 HP Intek single cylinder engine was running really rough using any more than 1/2 throttle without it stumbling cutting the grass, going up slight hills, or even cutting on a slope. I'm experienced with small engines and always take meticulous care of my equipment and the original Nikki carb was replaced with a Ruixing carb while my tractor was under a Maintenance Agreement warranty with Sears 2 1/2 years and 217 hours ago so after checking everything else and not finding a problem I decided to take a chance by buying this carburetor for $27.00 since another official B&S Ruixing replacement carb was upwards of $100. Like the Nikki and Ruixing all of them are all made in China but looking at the information data on the Kipa carb it appeared very thorough and not sketchy like with all the other Chinese ones out there with lots of bad reviews. This Kipa carburetor also has something that I was looking for by having an idle mixture adjustment screw if needed, while the Ruxing and others carbs did NOT, and were NOT even adjustable. The Kipa carburetor kit with accessories doesn't come with directions but there are plenty of good instructional videos on YouTube which made this installation simple and complete, everything matched up like the original carb and 20 minutes afterwards I started the tractor and could immediately tell the difference in the way it was sounding & running even without the engine being under a load with the blades engaged, and like others who purchased and installed this carb I saw NO need to even mess with the idle mixture adjustment screw at this time because it was just running so good. After cutting an acre of grass 3 times and 8 hours later my lawn tractor is back to running like new again. The majority of the reviews were very positive but a few encountered problems whether they were defective or not installed correctly for lack of experience, but for the price and my overall experience I'm very pleased and might just purchase another one to have around for a spare one day since I can purchase 4 of these for the price of 1 from either local mower shops or from the Briggs & Stratton website.

Well, my other off brand carb I bought for my LT 2000 is no longer in stock so I had to find another replacement. I hate trying out other brands when you know what works--I like to stick with good products. But, I decided on this one for the reviews and the fact it had so many extras like the cleaning brushes (definitely handy), hose and filter (which is a good upgrade to my cheap red one). I was going to get a paper filter anyways so saved a little money with the included one here. Installation isn't too hard on my rider and I have replaced the carb before (this is the 2nd time). My original was a Nikki. This one had perfect fitment and everything works well. The connection arm is curved which is an upgrade over my last one which was straight and meant I had to bend my hose to connect it. The fuel hose was not long enough to run the whole length on mine as I have several sections: one from the tank to a shut off valve, from shut off valve to the filter, from the filter to the carb. Upon inspection, my hoses are still in good working order and not clogged so I re-used them. Nice to have some hose on hand when needed, though, so it is stored on the shed I didn't calibrate anything because it seemed to run fine and also I am no mechanic just a DIY housewife so not sure exactly how to go about it anyways. I did have trouble with it cutting out after varying time lengths but not sure it is the carb. I rewrapped the ignition coil with 33 tape but I need to replace it eventually. New spark plug, clean air filter... I believe the governor is shutting it down but have since cleaned it from the impacted gunk and will see how that works. This carb has the springs on both the choke and governor tabs which apparently some don't. I don't expect this to last as long as a brand name but it got my mower up and running and gives me time to clean and look over my other carb without getting behind on the lawn upkeep. I'll update if anything major pops up with this unit.

3 years and running great. Fuel shut off switches are necessary. Turn them off let the engine run dry and the carb will love you. Fuel stabilizer and ethanol free gas are important as well! If you don’t have a fuel shut off switches they’re easy to install. I bought an Oregon branded one on here. It was all metal and very well made. Don’t buy the plastic ones and don’t cheap out of n this part.

Excellent carburetor works exactly like OEM Starts and run perfectly. I would recommend it. But one off ebay was junk company never responded back to me because I didn't get ahold of them in their return window carb quit working after the return window closed

I work on mowers and I been using this brand as a good option to replace the carburetor without having to spend a lot of money. The last 3 that I got came defective and had to rebuild them. The main float assembly dont fit correctly, and the gasket didn’t seal good they look stretched. I kept buying them because I thought it could just be a bad carb and everyone deserves a chance but after a few bad ones Ive decided to try Hipa

1999 LT1000 14.5 B&G. Previously ordered another carb. Surged and backfired no matter what air/fuel ratio it was set to. Decided to order this KIPA carb because of the reviews even though my model was not listed. It arrived in 3 days. This KIPA carb is a bit longer than the OEM carb but mounted up fine. Installation was a breeze and the mower fired up on the first try. Unlike other reviews, this carb ran rich and smoked a lot. Adjusting the air valve several turns out helped quite a bit but under a load whether its thick cutting or uphill the mower will still smoke. After 3.5hrs of mowing the smoke mostly cleared up, but under strain unburned fuel caused it to smoke out of the muffler. It was markedly reduced the longer the mower ran. Even so, i would order this KIPA carb again as it was basically an install and mow procedure. Having searched multiple carbs over multiple days, i noticed there wasn't many reviews that included model/brand information which i found to be a bit frustrating having an older machine that has an OEM replacement of $145 and a two week delivery. The price and included tool and upgraded fuel filter was a no brainer.
