I bought this a couple months ago and have now had a chance to use it a few times. First: It fit perfectly to my Husqvarna YT-2042 without any fuss or finagling. I know some people complained about getting it to fit right but I had no problem to get it connected in a short period of time. My only issues was the parts list. The first order of business is typically to check the parts in the shipment with the parts list but the parts list is incomplete. I guess Husqvarna figures parts like screws and bolts are not worth checking. Second: Yes, the bags are a bit small. Well not really small but they do fill up fast. I have a lawn area of about 1-1 1/4 acre and I typically need to empty the bags( 2 for this unit) 4 or 5 times when I mow. There is an indicator that purportedly indicated when the bags are full but what it really does is indicated when the shute is full. So by the times it shows full, the bags are overfull. Cleaning the shute is pretty easy but just a bit more hassle because the shute holds about a 1/2 bags worth of grass. Overall the unit works great and I am happy with it. Not sure if there is a practical way to make it hold more since it is pretty big already . I guess cut grass just takes up a lot of space ... show more

This grass catcher is made for your 42" lawn tractor by Husqvarna. The directions which are fairly clear makes it sound as if the four (4) "Mounting Bolts" are already installed on the mounting bracket on your mower. In my case the bolts were in the plastic bag of accessories. One other piece of mounting advice; when attaching the catcher to the mower-deck, BE CERTAIN to attach the back spring first, the tension on these two springs is really strong. Other than this the mounting is very simple and easily done by anyone with minimal mechanical skills. I tried the silicon spray advice from another review and to some degree this was a viable exercise, HOWEVER, nothing that I know of is going to alleviate clogging if you mow damp grass. Because the catcher tube is easy to take apart at a center joining place, it is a simple task to clean the clog. The two tubes slide together very easily and the bottom section is secured to the top section using a good grade rubber strap. The unit seems to be well made. Another thing I really like is removing the bags and allowing the grass clippings to exit through the catcher back onto the ground. This way I don't have to worry about accidentally propelling some object out the side chute, also this seems to eliminate leaving clumps of grass on the ground. If you mow wet or damp grass you WILL have to stop intermittently and unclog the 6" exit tube. I'm very happy with this grass catcher. ... show more

Overall this is a good product, a bit overpriced but it worked well for me and saves tons of time since I don't have to rake leaves. Installation was a bit of a chore. The screws to hold the metal arm take a bit of patience and twisting to get them to "bite" into the holes on the back of my Husqvarna tractor. Directions about this were also misleading since they state the screws should already be attached on the tractor but they came with the bagger (after awhile I realized the screws provided were for this). They bag only got clogged for me if I did not empty it and the leaves got backed up. I mowed damp leaves from morning dew without a problem but would not try anything more wet. The rubber seal that is around the tube that enters into the bag collection dome should be a bit tighter and debris sometimes blow out but it's not all that bad or often. Also if you're having the issue of one bag filling up and not the other you can just move the end of the tube closer to the empty bag. Make sure the dome that surrounds the baggers is ALL the way down or debris will blow out in great quantities. The red spinning wheel that indicates if the bag is full does work but you have to pay attention to it. It doesn't spin at first but watch for it to pick up speed then spin really fast then stop, then empty your bagger at that time. If you run a few more strips after that the bagger WILL clog. The bags are not very large but it's nice that they are soft so they can collapse for easy storage. I have an acre and many trees. I have to empty it 4-8 times depending on leaf volume All in all this works great. ... show more

Would you rather rake up those leaves or suck them up and dump the bags? We are all too busy trying to get so much done and I can tell you that the "Honey Do List" never gets shorter. This bagger kit helps me getting the "raking" chore done faster with a whole lot of energy saved for other tasks. Does it completely delete having to rake? No, of course not, but your time with the rake is a whole lot less. Some viewers complained about how the red spindle stops spinning and as a rest they didn't know if the bags were full or not. Doesn't bother me if it works or not. I just simply turn around and touch each bag with my hand to feel if they are full and when they are I dump them. It's easy. It's not rocket science. However, if you enjoy raking, pulling muscles in your back or getting blisters on your hands than this is not for you. ... show more

This is a follow up reviiew.. I have completed 1 grass cutting and leaf raking season with this bagger.. What a time saver. Assembly and install is pretty simple.. Removing and re-installing on my tractor, is also pretty simple. The hardest part is attaching the cover to the deck opening. Which is a good thing, because that means it's good and tight..All the grass or leaves are sent to the bags. Come fall time it really became apparent how usefull and arm and back saving this bagger is. The quality and construction shows in it fit and ease of use. Come winter time, storage was easy, because of the soft bags collapsing into each other and than sitting in the upside down unit hanging off the storage shed wall Now I wish I was able to purchase a 3 bagger. The 2 bagger = 6 bushels and fills up pretty quick... Still highly recommend this Husquvarna double bagger ... show more
