I totally am not disappointed with these alcohol ink markers. Vivid colors become more vivid when applying alcohol to activate, but you can use them just as they are. I am forever learning more about the alcohol ink world and love it with these. So far, used them on canvas, glass, and my blue jeans that I over bleached to white, coloring to blend my jeans. Great value all organized in it's own handy dandy carrying case. These are great and very sturdy. My jeans didn't wear them down at all but I am yet to find marker number 00. So many variants of colors to choose from. I think a more advanced user would realize the benefits more but definitely a beginner would love them as well. ... show more

I'm a sucker for packaging, so these markers had me at the sturdy carrying case. I'm not an artist, but I love to color and I really like the way markers look. Being a novice, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a marker set. The price point is perfect, the dual tip markers give me more choices (especially for those "hard to reach" corners of a picture), and I love the color variety. Coloring book users: be sure you have SEVERAL sheets of paper behind the picture you are coloring as these markers bleed. Also, be super careful when you open the lids or you'll get drops of color where you don't want it! I deducted a star from my rating because there was one marker that was cracked and dried it #102 Burnt Umber. I was disappointed when I reached out to the seller that they could not replace the marker, but offered me compensation instead. That's fine, but it doesn't really solve the problem of one marker being unusable. The seller could benefit from making their colors available for individual purchase. Good: Love the case. It's perfect for storage and ease of using markers. The colors are very bright and vibrant. Bad: 2 markers came cracked and didn't last long. 1 came completely dried out. And I was missing one all together. Also the color caps are not true to the marker color. Several named "purple" are actually pink and vice versa. Same with red/pink, blue/purple/pink, green/brown, so test them out on a color chart page. As with any alcohol markers you cannot have 2 sided coloring pages and need a thick page under it to prevent leaking to the next page in your book. ... show more

I bought these for a class of 18 high school art students to use. My students all used the same (one) set of 160 markers and I was impressed with their performance. The students did some kick-ass work with them. I included some examples. The case is super sturdy and I like the clear lid and handle. Some of the colors were not accurate to the cap/lid color label, but as long as you test the color out beforehand or make a color sample sheet for reference, you'll be fine. Did NOT receive any dried-up/broken ones that I am aware of. This was my first time using alcohol markers and I thought they were awesome, but I don't have experience with any other brands to compare them to. But overall, you can't go wrong with these, and when the markers dry up, you have a cool case that fits most brands of alcohol markers. I bought this item thinking that I could use it on my adult coloring books, not only did it bleed but when you open the lid it splashes all over the pages .This was just not a good product the color would run over the lines. Will never buy this again. Maybe for drawing it would be good but beware because color does run. ... show more
