I bought this same set for my son many years ago. Now he bought them as a gift for a friend. They are amazing. If you have a person in your life that draws, enjoys coloring or is just starting, these are the pencils to use. If the price seems too high, they sell smaller boxes to start out. But in the long run, this is really a money saver. Also they are named and numbered. So if a favorite color is becoming a nub, you can find singles at (won't name "begins with M") craft stores.

I lost my first set of Prismacolor Colored Pencils 2 years ago in a flood of poop water at an Air BnB in Michigan and everything else I owned! I had worked so hard to save to get these pencils for Bible Journaling because they were the best. It has taken me 2 years to be able to buy them again!! They blend well! The colors are gorgeous! They are smooth in my hand. They stay bright and beautiful! It was worth the 2 year wait to get them again! You won’t be sorry when you get them home!!

I know some people got fakes of this but I was lucky enough to get an authentic plastic sealed package of Prismacolor pencils. I only had a problem with one pencil. The core was slightly too small and keeps falling out of either side of the pencil. It was one of my favorite colors but I could just replace it for under $2 at michaels if I need to I guess. ;( I bought my first set about 7 years ago and this was my first set of professional grade color pencils. I loved them so much I didn’t even try another brand. I upgraded from the 48 count to the full 150. While using the 48 count I noticed I was needing a lot of in between colors. The 48 still has a great range but I was looking for a more gradual and seamless blend of monochromatics. Highly recommended. Love them. Even the packaging is so pretty. I don’t want to get rid of it even though I bought a big pencil case for them.

My wife has recently enjoyed some coloring books I have purchased for her. She had a set of 48 pencils but quickly realized that many of the colors she wanted were not available, in her limited set. I found this product on the internet and purchased them for her for a gift. Once they arrived and I say how nicely they were packaged and how many colors there were, I decided to surprise her and give them to her early, She was thrilled, she has used them every day for a week, and still commnets how smoothly they color, and how nicely the colors blend. Great product, well worth the price.

First, the pencils arrived a bit later than the estimated date given. They were packaged well and when opened perfect and exactly what I expected. I am using these pencils to draw a series of different horses for my father. Each horse drawn will be of horses he has owned and/or ridden in his younger cowboy days. I began to use a different brand of pencils, but was not able to blend my colors as well as I would have liked, so I ordered the Prismacolor Premier colores pencils. I have used this brand of pencils in the past when they were under the name “Berol” and really loved working with them. These particular ones do have a soft lead and cannot easily be erased once applied. Also, because they have soft lead, the pencil is worn down faster than pencils with harder lead. After finishing the first drawing, I will need to replenish a few browns and the black before drawing the next horse in the series. So, basically, these pencils are working out great and I would recommend them. Do find where you can buy individual pencils to have back-up on the colors that you tend to use more than others. It will save you time and frustration. If using this type of pencil for the first time, invest in some blending stubs, a couple of good erasers (not pink!), a few (to start with) hard lead pencils for sketching, and some good quality acid-free art paper. You won’t be sorry. There are cheaper brands of colored pencils, but remember that most cannot be blended well and the colors are less vivid. Don’t be afraid to make a mistake and have fun! ♥️🔆♥️

I have been using prisma premier pencils for a few years and now have the set of 150. I love these pencils, they are so versatile very easy to use plus great for blending. A tin case rather than cardboard for the 150 set would be easier and stronger to hold the pencils, though the design on the top of a colourful butterfly is very beautiful. Very happy with my purchase.
