I love these things so much I purchased several more for family members. These little sensors are small and lightweight. They come with a little hanger and velcro to hang them on doorknobs or anything you want to monitor while you're gone or asleep. The sensitivity is pretty incredible, starting my truck in front of my garage door sets the Kini off that's secured to my garage door, I may need to dial the sensitivity down a bit on that one. They're pretty easy to set up and connect to your wifi and I love the text and sound feature on the app. They send me a text with the name and time of the movement. Definitely a BUY!!

This movement sensor works really well. I initially had some trouble connecting it, but that turned out to be an issue with my Wi-Fi system that needed a reset. Customer service was excellent - very responsive and followed up quickly by email until everything was resolved. I’m using this sensor on my safe door so I know whenever it’s opened, and it works every time. Notifications are immediate and reliable. The sensor itself is small and unobtrusive, and it comes with Velcro, which makes it easy to remove for recharging if needed. Overall, this is a solid, dependable movement sensor with great customer support behind it. I highly recommend it.

Loved my first Kini so much I bought 3 more from Kinisium directly! I’m an avid firearm, user/collector, so I have several places to protect; my main safe, my ammo safe, my beside safe, etc. While I have a robust security posture to ensure that once my daughter is able to walk and talk, she won’t be able to access my firearms. My main safe has two different factors of security as it is! My point is, I wanted something more, something for the what-if! That’s where the Kini motion sensors come in. From the initial setup, to installation, and day to day operation, the sensor and process is superior quality. The process to set up the device is well documented and simple. The sensor is accurate, reliable, and I don’t have to worry about not getting an alert. I have had no false positives whatsoever! Any time I go into my safe I get the alert as soon as the door opens! I work in cyber security by day, so I’m definitely a bit paranoid when it comes to digital and physical security, and this product puts my mind at ease knowing if someone, somehow accessed my safe, I would know! Already recommended to some friends and would absolutely recommend for you!

I was skeptical at first after seeing some of the negative reviews, but after using Kini for a couple of months, I can confidently say it does exactly what it promises. This is NOT a camera, and it’s not meant to be—it’s a motion sensor that alerts you the moment something moves. For my needs, that’s perfect. I don’t want a camera constantly recording or needing cloud storage; I just want an instant notification if something I care about has been accessed. Addressing Concerns: “Crappy?" No way. It’s compact, discreet, and built for function. It’s not a heavy metal device, but it doesn’t need to be. "Too many false positives"? Not in my experience. Sensitivity settings require some tweaking (like any motion sensor), but once dialed in, it’s very reliable. If you expect it to behave like a camera, you might misunderstand how it works. "No support"? That’s simply not true. The company has been incredibly responsive, answering questions, even on the weekend! Final Verdict: If you need instant alerts without the hassle of cameras, apps, or subscriptions, Kini is a solid choice. It’s affordable, effective, and fills a gap that other security products don’t.

What it is: Yes, this sensor will detect motion and will issue an instantaneous alert via text message. In that aspect, it is highly reliable. What it is NOT: This device is NOT designed to trigger on any activities that do not physically move the sensor itself. In other words, having it attached to the back wall of a shed and hoping to get alerted if someone opens the door to the shed without moving the sensor will leave you disappointed. It is not an IR sensor that will detect someone walking in front of it like motion detectors in home security systems will. One other important note - it is possible to not trigger an alarm even with the device moving. I have it attached to a door that if opened without an abrupt start or stop, the alarm will not trigger. My advice: IF you understand the limitations of the device due to how it functions, you will enjoy it.

My experience with Kinis so far (I now have 4 running): It hits a sweet spot for keeping an eye on valuables that I don’t want to (or can’t) cover using a camera. Kind of like an additional inner layer in my security onion. The sensors are sturdy, and work without any issues. A light blinks when they’re triggered, and I get a text message a few seconds after the motion. I mostly use them as a visual cue, along with signage, to let others know that private spaces are monitored and off-limits. But I also have one that’s tucked away to let me know if there’s any snooping going on. Knock on wood, this hasn’t happened yet- but I like knowing that I’ll get a text if it does. Set up is easy and I’ve had no issues with continuity of coverage. I did have a question about changing networks and support was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Value for money...nope, get a camera. Quality...Janky, like a $2 piece of plastic with an accelerometer in it. Motion detection...DON'T GET ME STARTED! FALSE POSITIVES LIKE CRAZY! Sensitivity is either TOO HIGH or TOO LOW, I've tried so many combinations...absolutely terrible product. Rather get a Ring camera to install just in the side of a wall, not even a door. At least then I'd have some accuracy and FOOTAGE to back it up! SERIOUSLY...just save up and get a camera. Terrible TERRIBLE Product.
