This is so much better than mixing dye. The color is great. Looks natural, made my hair feel so amazingly soft I believe it’s the conditioner it has. This is definitely 1000% easier to use than dyes. Effectiveness is definitely great and covered my greys/whites.

Works Great for Black Hair

I recently let my friends daughter who just finished beauty school dye my grays and she missed a lot of spots, especially in the front. I was worried to try dyeing it myself again right after so I purchased this shampoo and it's completely covered all my grays and looks like my natural color. I'll probably only use this shampoo from now on rather than dying my hair. Highly recommend for anyone with natural black hair.

Works great but messy to apply

This is my 3rd time buying hair dye shampoo. I generally like these better than box dyes for gray coverage. With the other 2 brands, the shampoo consistency was creamier and thicker. It was easier to apply because of it. The shampoo of this brand is very running. It almost looks like beaten eggs once you mix it up. Because it is so running, I really advice covering up your bathroom counter and floor when applying this. I ended up having to spot clean a few areas after using this dye and some areas are forever stained. As to smell, it doesn't smell bad. In fact the smell, while slightly floral, isn't very strong to me. It also seems to be very gentle on the hair, leaving it soft and silky. The color is fine. It covers up the gray very nicely which is what I wanted it to do the most. Overall good just be sure to protect your floor and counter.
