This is a must have tool for Beekeepers, and more is better, you never find the only one you have, when you really need it, don't get caught short, buy more than one, I like the stainless ones best, and I have never broken one of these, But I have misplaced one or two, it works to lift the frames, pry the hive bodies apart and scrape the burr comb, so just get more. ... show more

Works very well for all beekeeping jobs around the hive. I just keep several of these tools hanging on hive stands around the bee yard so there is always one close by when you need it. Good tool!

I usually buy (and lose) a couple of hive tools a year. I like the 'J' hook tools for lifting frames, also like the ones with a 90 degree bend in one end for prying. This tool gives me both. Stainless steel construction means that there's a chance of it surviving a few days out in the rain if I leave it at the hives. I might plastic-dip the handle - more for visibility than anything. Chisel edges are sharp. Tool itself is a little thin but appears sturdy enough for any work I can see myself doing. Good value. ... show more
