I was surprised that the wire inside is so thin. The rubber coating is thick, but the wire inside is thin, as if you bought the thinner flexible wire. It can make it harder to get a tight twist because you have more rubber than wire, if that makes sense. I expected the wire to be thicker, not just the rubber. Switched to this brand and am disappointed. The inner wire in this set is a small gauge so it slips around inside the rubber coating and makes it hard to tie a secure loop. The premium brands have wire bonded to the shell so plant ties are more secure and easier to reuse. This is okay but not a best choice. ... show more
