I had been tieing little loops of twine... ANNOYING, difficult with small plants, and must be redone if they grow fatter. These strips are EASY and reusable. Just cut off a couple inches, then a tight loop around the pole, then a loose loop around the plant. Done. They work on tiny little sprouts, and 10ft tall sunflowers. The green color blends in enough that they don't stand out, but are thick enough that you wont lose them either. I've gone through it pretty quickly... but I've tied up a BUNCH of plants with it, and its definitely cheap enough to buy more... especially since I'll be able to take these off the old plants and re-use them. ... show more

I have used short Velcro strips to train green beans and sugar snap peas to climb bamboo poles in our garden. They hold up well in rain or hot weather and donโ€™t hurt the plants. I have also used them to support tomato branches. This is my second year to use the strips, and they really work well.

    • It holds up my giant mammoth Sunflowers on a pole till the plant grows

I like the fact that it does not hurt the plants. I used to hold up my mammoth sunflowers till they grow strong stems. Most times it works super well. It does not cut into the plant which is great!
