Can these be cut at all? Yes Absolutely, they are very simple to cut. A good hand saw will do the trick nicely or of course, you can utilize a table saw if you wish. What size gravel do I fill the grid with? We recommend filling with 1/2 inch or smaller gravel. This is a complete fill-out entirety of the cells. As far as what kind of gravel, that's 100% up to you! Can I use as a shed base? YES! Absolutely you can, and it will save you lots of money. Simple lay this down and fill it with sand or gravel and you have your shed base. I want to use this for an uphill driveway, is that ok? Sorry, we do not recommend the HexPave for uphill or heavy-duty driveways. The HexPave grid is for walking paths, patios, parking areas, and much more. This is a great alternative to a concrete pad. I used the system to serve as a base for a storage shed. I followed the recommendations for creating a base. The most important step is to have level ground and requires the most time. After that, I used sand, a vapor barrier and then the HexPave system. The system itself is easy to install and barely took anytime. There are no tools needed and the individual grids easily attach. Luckily, I did not need to do any cutting or modifications - the grid fit perfectly into the space I needed. I am not sure if modifications are simple to do it you need them to fit into a smaller space. After the aggregate was added, the base felt sturdy and level and I am sure it will last as long as I need it. I would use the product again without hesitation. I wish I knew about it before. It would be a great substitute for concrete in a driveway or car port. It would drain so much better as well as being durable and strong. ... show more

I have a house on a private (gravel/dirt) road and had paid a contractor to fill potholes and gravel was kicked out of them within months. I hate wasting money and decided to fix them myself. I placed these pavers in the potholes, filled with gravel and they have held! The pavers retain gravel and are very sturdy. While I'm fairly skeptical about products I'm unfamiliar with, this Vodaland product was the perfect solution to what I was hoping to accomplish. It was also easy to install. I had an area that I wanted to fill with a 3/8th's inch grey granite chips as part of a side yard project. The problem with these chips is that while they look attractive, they tend to shift around such that simple things such as pushing a lawn mower over them meant they shift all over the place, making it difficult for the wheels to pass over them. When I saw the Vodaland design, I easily grasped the concept that their solution would prevent these chips from shifting; and as such, would solve my problem. While these aren't inexpensive, I'm certain they will last a very long time. Water from both rain and snow easily drains through these easily joined tiles. It should also speak volumes that this is the first review of a product I've written and I wanted others to know that I believe you'll find this Vodaland product is fantastic. ... show more
