- How to use Open the two valves, the sleeping pads will inflate itself. To deflate the pad, Open the valves, rolling the pad from the bottom, press the rolling part by your legs. When rolling to the top part, let the air flow out for a while, then close the valves. Don't open the valves, unfold the pad, then rolling the pad again to the top part, open the valves, and let the air flow out. Then close the valves. Repeat until you can fold the pad into the carry bag (about 2 - 3 times).

This is part 1 of my review. I will be updating my review after using this air mattress next week on my 5 day retreat whereby I will be sleeping on it in my tent. I received this today and tested it out to make sure it worked as promised and to see if it would be comfortable enough to lay on. It did not come with any written instructions but it's not hard to figure it out. Also the site has a video. It took a bit to figure out the best way to get the built-in foot pump going as far as best foot placement as I wasn't sure if I needed to leave the open valve hole exposed or if I should cover it with my foot. You need to place your whole foot over it and cover the hole while leaving the red valve cover open. The red valve cover flopped around a bit. Once I covered the hole with my foot and pumped, it started to fill up. It will take a few minutes to inflate with one person but there is a second foot pump so you can have another person help to make it fill up faster. When I laid on it, it felt sturdy, firm but yet supportive. The real test will be how it will hold up with 4 nights of sleeping on it. When I deflated the mattress, it took a while to fully deflate because the only draw back is that the black valve that you have to open up to release the air has an inner flap that prevents air from escaping for when in use and I had to keep pushing it away with my finger as I was folding and rolling it up in order for the air to escape. It was easy to pack it back up and put it in the sac that it came with. It has the two elastic bands to hold the rolled mattress in place. It took me about 5 minutes or so to get it rolled back up and fully deflated. I actually really like this and I'm glad I bought the full size. It was much longer than I realized and it may take up most of the floor of my 4 person tent which I don't mind. I am really excited to use this and it saves me having to schlep a electric blow up queen mattress or my 3 1/2 " foam mattress topper that I used last year. This is compact and doesn't take up much space in my car with my other gear. It's also light weight. Check back after August 26th for my final review on how it held up. Thanks for reading. :) Part 2: So I used this air mattress pad for my camping retreat. I slept on it for 4 nights and it was wonderful. I didn't have any issues and didn't wake up sore or with pain as sometimes that can happen when you sleep on ground. I have low back issues and this mattress was great. Very comfortable. I may order the twin size one for more space in my tent as the double is very large, which I love. I'm 5'9" and had so much room to sprawl out. I am very pleased with my air mattress pad and how it folds up compact in the sac.

Amazing camp mattress! Cant call it a mat because it is thick and comfortable but it is half the thickness of most air mattresses. Only real con is the deflation process (-1 star). There is no valve you can open to release the air. There is a valve that has a one-way flap in it for using a pump but it doesn't let air out normally. I found I could pull the flap outward so it wedges open so I can deflate the mattress easily. Other than that this mattress looks like it is going to be around a long time. I can easily roll it up into an 10 inch by 16 inch roll. It is too heavy for backpacking but perfect for a minimal camping when you have a car near by to haul everything. Deflated this thing is about the same size and weight as a small cheapo Coleman air mattress you would get from Walmart but is built like a tank and sleeps 2 easily. To inflate you open the foot valves, put the ball of your foot over the holes, march in place pulling your foot off the hole briefly each time to step up, re-cap when done. Takes about 5 minutes of this and it is plenty stiff. I don't need to carry a pump for this now. Pros: VERY well built, not expecting a hole anytime soon. Built in foot pump gets this thing to desired stiffness. Easy to deflate once you get used to it. Lighter weight than full thickness air mattress. Cons: To heavy for backpacking. Foot pumps can take a little getting used to. No air release "valve", see paragraph at top.

This air mattress pad is seriously handy! I bought it for my small children and I to use at a relative's house over the holidays, and it exceeded my expectations! I was looking for a easy to fill air mattress that wasn't too big and bulky both when blown up and when deflated. I also didn't want to have to buy a separate pump have to manually blow it up. I came across this KingCamp mattress and it fit the bill - foot pump for inflating, easy deflation, not too thick, good reviews about the comfort, and portable. After using it for a weekend I was not disappointed! I read some reviews saying it's hard to fill up, but I did not find it hard at all. After two steps I got the hang of it and filled it up in about a minute (I used both my feet at the same time stepping forward and back.)... deflating took a little longer and was easier with one person rolling and one controlling the air valve, but once we rolled all the air out it fit nicely back into the carry bag. I'm definitely happy with this purchase and can tell I will be using the mattress for a lot of our travel from now on.

I had high hopes for this mattress as I needed a thin mattress to go underneath a foam mattress in my roof top tent. Extremely comfortable when full. For three consecutive nights I used this mattress on a camping trip. The first night I filled the mattress with air during setup time in the middle of the afternoon. By midnight it was flat enough that I could feel the floor beneath me. The next day I inflated the mattress right before bed around 11:30 p.m thinking that if I inflated later in the night with colder air there would be less of a change and less of a drop in pressure as it got colder at night. By 4:30 I could feel the floor beneath me. Same thing happened the third night inflated mattress closer to midnight by 5 a.m. I was feeling hard floor. Not sure if there is a leak in the foot pump system or if it just loses a large percentage of air as the temperature changes outside but either way Looks like I'll be shopping for another air mattress.
