The COLAMY 12-Inch Wood Platform Bed Frame is easy to put together with clear instructions and labeled parts. Having a friend helps, but assembly is simple and takes about 45 minutes to an hour. The solid wood frame looks nice and is budget-friendly. It feels like building IKEA furniture but with better quality parts. The bed is sturdy, has legs for support, and leaves some space underneath for storage. A great, affordable choice!

Sturdy, nice looking bed frame. This had so many pieces though. I’ve put together a decent number of bedframes before, and this has by far more pieces than any other I’ve seen. Not particularly difficult to put together with instructions, but it took way longer than I think a bedframe should.

We bought this full-size wood bed frame for our guest room, and it was incredibly easy to assemble! It’s super sturdy, doesn’t creak, and adds a nice touch to the room. The quality is great for the price! We have not placed anything underneath just yeat, but there is plenty of room for it.

I bought this because it says the finish color is “pine.” Unlike the picture, the frame finish is more orange toned, so it definitely looks like cheaply furnished oak plywood type furniture. In every photo, the frame is shown as really fitting the mattress, with the mattress just fitting around the edges of the frame so it looks clean and tight. Our mattress is one of the biggest, plushest mattresses I’ve ever seen, and it does not reach any edge of this frame by any standards. The frame corners stick out by several inches on each end corner, and at the top edges and corners as well, which looks ill fitting and cheap. Also, and I feel this is where the photos of the product are intentionally misleading to the buyer: the long side slats are actually two separate pieces, and this is ver noticeable immediately. All the photos are either edited to remove the seam there, or the bedding is draped purposefully over that particular negative feature. There is a definite and very noticeable break in the side rail where the two pieces bolt together, and the seller has set the product photos up to hide that. It is reasonably sturdy when bolted together and was relatively easy to assemble. I would not have bought the frame if it were accurately described. It just looks very cheap.

This is a simple wooden bed frame which is exactly what we wanted. Directions were easy to understand; it was easy to assemble. I did it myself (one person). It may take two people to lift the box although I moved it piece by piece from the garage to the room so I didn't have to lift the box. This was for a twin bed.

So far, I think the bed is good quality. I like the simple design and the fact that it does not require a box spring. I don’t think there is much room to store things underneath, because of the 8 extra wooden legs for support that would prevent one of the low rolling storage boxes to be used, and because the clearance is not tall enough for taller storage bins. Shoe boxes might work though. The main reason I put only 3 stars is because of how difficult it was to get the wood girders screwed into the connecting iron. As you can see in the photos, the “self taping screws” are supposed to secure the girders into the connecting iron, but with only 1-1.5 inches of space between the screw and the head/foot boards, there was not enough room to get the torque required to screw those in all the way by hand. There were also no pre-drilled holes to help get the screws in all the way or make them straight. The directions explicitly warn against using an electric drill, so at first I only used one tiny screwdriver, which didn’t even come with the bed and tools, so if I had not already owned it, I’d have been unable to build the frame at all. This was the first time I’ve ever assembled a bed frame, so it could simply be my lack of experience, or the fact that I did it by myself, but it took me over 4 hours to put it together because of these screws. Everything else was fine. The directions were clear, the parts were all there, just these screws were terrible. When I had finally had enough, I decided to risk breaking the wood by *gently* using a drill and things got a lot easier from there. Would not recommend buying this frame if you don’t have a drill (the one I used wasn’t even mine, I had to borrow it and I’m so so so glad I did). If you do have the tools, and don’t need storage under the bed, then this would be a great option for you! Now that it is finished, I really like it!
