The top layer feels soft at first touch, but underneath there is steady support from the pocket springs that keeps the body from sinking too deeply. My husband tested both back and side sleeping positions and mentioned that his lower back felt more relaxed in the morning. The edges feel stable when sitting, and the kids have climbed onto it without noticeable sagging. Movement during the night does not travel much across the surface, which helps light sleepers. The feel leans toward medium firm with balanced cushioning.

I was nervous ordering a mattress that shows up rolled up in a box, but this one surprised me in a good way. Once it opened up and settled, it looked and felt like a “real” mattress, not something temporary. The top feels soft and kind of plush when I first lie down, then the support kicks in so I’m not sinking. What I notice most is how my back feels when I get up. I don’t feel that stiff, cranky “why did I do that to myself” feeling. It has that balanced feel where it’s not too hard, not too squishy, and my body feels lined up instead of bent weird. Also, it doesn’t have that chemical smell I was bracing for, which was a relief.

Although I don't have any other experience of using the new mattress to make a comparison, I can say that this mattress is really great. The top of the mattress is soft and comfortable, while the bottom has good support. I mainly sleep on my side and back, and rarely on my stomach. The reason why I rarely slept on my back before was largely because my previous mattress was not comfortable enough. Now, I find that sleeping on this mattress on my back is also very comfortable. It's super comfortable, but still firm enough. I don't feel like I'm sinking into the mattress. Moreover, neither my wife nor I felt that the other was moving or turning throughout the night. Besides, it is very cool, which is another huge advantage. There is no smell at all. In short, we felt very good sleeping on it.

This is a very comfortable hybrid mattress. The top layer is a soft, cooling gel memory foam that feels cool to the touch and contours gently. This hybrid mattress is very comfortable and provides excellent support for a restful night’s sleep.
