Maybe its because of my old mattress that had the worst dip in the middle, that was almost 15 years old, that had a very damaged box spring and almost ruined my back, but this mattress is perfect. Its firm, it doesn’t sink low at all like the memory foam beds so if thats an issue for anyone this is a good option, it took shape quickly and was the perfect size for my bed frame , no odd smell, not too heavy to lift, its really good for the price paid. i will say though, if you like softer beds over firm ones this bed isn't for you as its as firm as it can get.

UPDATE: since I wrote this review, I added a nice thick mattress pad and it made a significant improvement for my hips and knees so I added another star. I took a chance on buying a mattress through Amazon after viewing a LOT of other options from other sites and stores and reading customer reviews. This one was a great price and has 4.6 star reviews so I got the 12" option for slightly more money. The carton it arrived in wasn't hard to open but it is freaking heavy, so having a second person available to help wrangle it is a good idea. I waited a week to write a review so I had time to get used to it. The mattress unfurled and expanded without a problem but once set up, it turned out to be both harder and springier than expected. It says medium firm but I'd call it firm-adjacent. The pillow top is too thin to provide much comfort so my knees and hips aren't getting the padding they're used to and my sleep hasn't been great. I'm going to try a thick, gel mattress pad to see if it helps but if it doesn't, how does one return a mattress that was rolled up and vacuum sealed in a box? And the available return options don't include "I'm a little disappointed." Overall, the mattress is .serviceable and you can't beat the price - so not great, not bad. I'd say this would be good for a guest bedroom or someone who has an excellent, functioning back and joints.

this mattress is super super comfy. I got the 10-in queen, and it's definitely a good size mattress. it deflated itself in 2 days, and I would say it has a good firmness to it. it also came really quickly which was a super plus, and it was super easy to take out the box and set up. overall I would definitely recommend this especially for the price.
