The box was very heavy, but inside was Heaven! Once it puffed up, the top became even fluffier and body hugging, with the bottom remaining medium firm for support. It smelled fine, very clean, and the value was exquisite! It even came with a small opener to cut the plastic cover but not the mattress. What a great touch!

I've been on the lookout for a hybrid mattress for a while, so I had to pounce when I saw this. It is way heavier than foam-only mattresses are, but it's vacuum-sealed very well so the box is compact. But if you know you'll have to carry it up a flight (or three) of stairs, be prepared and have a helper ready. There are a lot of layers of plastic to wrap the mattress up, and as long as you deal with them one at a time, they're easy to cut through (there's even a tool to help with the outer layers). Once we got to the innermost layer, we were able to get the mattress in place and cut the final plastic before sliding it out from under the mattress. This is medium-firm, which is great for me as a side sleeper, and the springs provide support without getting in the way. It's surprisingly great at absorbing vibrations, which is great because on my old mattress, even the cat walking across the bed would shake it. Overall it's a huge difference and I love it.

While the price was nice for the budget we set. The mattress is not firm. It is actually soft. Not sure how long it will last. Will attempt to get a cover for it.
