Seems to be very stable, and it was very easy to put together. Didn't have any issues on my end! There's no cover or anything, but since it's only 2in high it didn't really matter. I did put some non slip tape on mine because it rests exactly on the edge of the frame and I wanted to eliminate movement just in case. We have a Cal King bed on risers for under bed storage and wanted to get the Tall mattress down a lot lower without buying a one piece raised bed frame that has the legs at the Corners that I Know we would Kick !!!! My brother in law called me over to help assemble and install his 4" Box frame and that's when I learned about a 2" Bunkie ! Perfect !! Only issue is we have an Inner Spring matress and a couple springs were trying drop between slats so I put plywood on top and drilled 144 1 1/4" holes in it for ventilation ! Easy assembly just takes time to screw the nuts on the bolts in the middle and corners. Only one hole needed a little hammer to line up. Slats went in easily. Cover is like a fitted sheet and not a complete encasement. Nice low profile alternative to a traditional box spring with easy delivery.
