With a few little tweaks, this greenhouse is dynamite! 1. The frame was pretty easy to put together. Similar parts are bundled together, and each part has a label sticker on it. It was a little awkward assembling it by myself, but I managed to build the frame in about three hours after work. It is a easier to use a wrench instead of the small tool that is provided. 2. The frame does need a little reinforcement. Otherwise, you are relying on the cover too much to hold it in shape. 3. I drove steel pipes into the ground at each corner, just inside the corner, and wired the frame to them. If you put the stake outside the corner, it will interfere with the cover. This was the first major step that really held the frame squarely to the ground. This took one more evening after work. 4. The next step was to wire the diagonals. There are only two diagonal pipes on the frame, which is not quite sufficient. The wired diagonals are shown in the second picture. 5. I also wired the diagonals on one end. This limits the greenhouse to one entrance, but significantly strengthens the structure. All told, I used a 100 foot roll of galvanized wire that is rated for holding 75 pounds. The wire cost around 13 dollars. 6. After I stretched the cover over, I used a stronger cord instead of the thin cord that came with the kit. The roll was less than 10 dollars. Also I used cinder blocks that I had around. Also, I put it near an existing fence. 7. So for less than 25 dollars, plus some things that were laying around, this thing can be made super sturdy. After I take the cover off during the hot part of summer, I will also reinforce the top bar and add some vertical supports. With these additions, I am sure that the frame will last for at least 5 or 10 years. 8. For the price, this greenhouse is great. It definitely needs some tweaks, but the whole thing is so inexpensive that is worth it. My intent is to leave the cover on in spring and fall for a season extension. That way, the cover is not damaged by the worst of summer and winter. 9. Right away, I moved in a chair and some shelves and a little mini greenhouse that I had inside. Now I don't need to carry my seedlings in and out of the house each day! 10. The screen zippers are not as durable as the main zippers. Be gentle with them. 11. I am being critical of the weak points, but the poly-carbonate greenhouses that cost several times what this cost have weak points, which are harder to remedy. This thing is a great bargain, if you have just a little skill to make it sturdy. It has tons of space! I love it!

This greenhouse has been a great temporary solution until I eventually build a permanent greenhouse. It is really serving its purpose well for seed starting, storing my tropical plants, and growing vegetables. I did invest some extra time and money into the setup by building a 4x4 base. This gave the structure more stability, added support, and even provided a little extra height. I also took the time to level the ground and install a landscape weed barrier underneath. My plan is to cover the floor with pea gravel or a similar material to create a cleaner and more finished look. I intend to add more structural support along sides and top as time passes. The size provides plenty of room for plants and projects, and it has created a space I genuinely enjoy spending time in. I am even considering adding a portable hot tub nearby so I can relax outdoors during the winter months and enjoy some sunshine while surrounded by my plants. Overall, I am very pleased with this greenhouse and feel it has been well worth the investment.

Product quality is great, very easy to put together, took a couple hours with my 9 yo son, instructions in color and gloss paper even extra bolts provided, nice! Also big props to whoever decided to provide NYLON nuts, they knew what they were doing! I used an impact with a 4mm Allen bit, makes it fast, don't overtighten. Here is the downside, once put together AS IS the green house is still very flimsy and wobbly especially from side to side. I ended up fabbing 4 corner brackets from 3/4 EMT and it INSTANTLY became FIRM FIRM FIRM! It's an easy addition and if you don't have pipe you could use a piece of lumber but that is why I'm giving it 4 stars, it's almost there just needs those corner brackets. So here are my improvements that would make this a 5 stars. 1) Corner brackets 2) Long steaks (maybe 6) to secure horizontal metal pole into the ground at both entrances 3) Plastic on the long corners should have holes like a tarp through which provided steaks could be driven to secure the plastic down firmly. That's is all, for the price point you can't complain but a small addition would make it great. How I made the corner brackets: 3/4 EMT cut to 16" pieces, flatten on each side with a vise and follow up with hammer, bend each corner to 45 Degrees in the vise, drill 1/4 pilot hole closer to one side of flat part not center to prevent plastic contact via wind, place on spot, pre drill 1/8th pilot bit through hole, follow up with self tapping #10 or larger screw. Green house poles are thin so be very gentle and don't strip. Recommend using 1/2" EMT as thickness will work better here, I just had 3/4 laying around.

I used this greenhouse happily for 2 years and the vinyl cover had worn in some areas. King Bird doesn't offer a just the cover in their Amazon catalog, so I reached out to their Customer Support team. Summer was understanding of my situation and facilitated ordering a replacement cover. She and her team were very responsive to my questions and attentive to my needs. I am very happy with their product and their excellent support.

I have been pleasantly suprised by the quality of this greenhouse and how simple it was to put together. There is also a ton of good advice on YT. Like other customers, I constructed a base from 2x4s on a sheet of landscape cloth first and then mounted the greenhouse frame on that. I only used one of the 2 stability poles provided, but I zip-tied it to a 4 ft T-post I hammered into the ground. At each inside corner, I used heavy duty tent stakes (the rebar kind with the loop), driving them down to just above the base and zip-tied the greenhouse frame to each. For the tarp cover, I stretched it tight, wrapped the extra length around 4ft x 1/2" pieces of trim to not tear the tarp and nailed it to the 2x4 base. Start with the front to make sure the sides are not crooked. It got down into the 20s several nights and a small heater was able to keep it in the 50-60 range, warm enough to not damage my tomatoes (in the pics you'll note that I threaded some bubble wrap and plastic through the roof supports which helped to insulate. With a better heater, it would have stayed warmer. The velcro on the windows is nice, I don't use the ties, I just stick the bottom part of the window to the velcro near the top to keep it partially open. We are in the midwest and have had several big storms with tornados nearby and this greenhouse is rock solid. I'm thinking of buying a 2nd!

I assembled it myself and it was tough doing it alone. Directions sucked and if you are not handy, you will have a tough time. Once I assembled the frame and put the cover on and secured the greenhouse with the line and stakes provided, I was about to go in the house for lunch when a big wind gust came up and picked the greenhouse up like a kite! It went into my electric fence 30' away and if it were not for that fence, it would have been blown a long way off. Good news. But the bad news is that I got my lights light up with touching that fence when I tried to extract the greenhouse. LOL The frame got bent up and the cover got ripped but I was able to get it back to a functional set up. I used 3 each 1/2 inch nylon ropes with heavy duty anchors on the ends and center and tied them down with good anchors and then put a T post on each corner inside the greenhouse and secured them to the frame with wire. Yesterday we had a severe thunderstorm and winds hit 60+ MPH and my greenhouse stayed secure. So the bottom line is really secure your greenhouse! I like the zipper doors and netting. What I don't like is that you really have to weigh down your cover aprons with something really heavy like cinder blocks. Bricks do not work! They should have had quality eyelets to secure it with good stakes. Also the frame is secured to the cover with velcro strips that move up and down the frame tube and that allows the cover to move up and down the frame which is a very bad thing. Bottom line, good value but not plug and play.

More durable than I expected. Coming into the third year with no frame problems and the plastic skin still supple. After two years the zippers get stiff. Lube them with silicone treadmill lube.

One day. One single day. This product didn’t last 24 hours without tearing at the seams where the velcro is connected. When I put the cover on, there was no wind. I built a wooden base to attach the metal frame to; anchored the cover with cinder blocks, 2x4s, and the included ropes; and had all of the doors and vents closed. The same afternoon, we got a little spring wind - maybe a 10 to 12 mph breeze. The cover pulled out from underneath the blocks and boards and billowed. Over the next several hours, the anchors were pulled out of the ground several times (I kept screwing them back in new spots as deeply as possible) while the cover billowed, rode up the frame, and whipped in the wind. By the next morning, there were already two rips on the seams near the velcro straps that secure the cover to the frame. All of the anchors had been pulled out of the ground by the wind overnight. At least the frame, so far, is holding up. I have several issues with this product. Why aren’t there more than four velcro straps? Why aren’t there straps or ties on the inside of the cover to secure it to the tube running lengthwise directly overhead? Why aren’t there straps or ties to secure the cover to the bottom rails instead of relying on weighted material outside the structure? If it can’t hold up to a light breeze without pulling loose, riding up, and tearing, how is it supposed to keep warm air in during colder months? Bottom line - the product looks good in marketing photos and is conceptually functional, but is poorly designed and fails under anything less than optimal conditions, thus rendering it practically useless. As of right now, I absolutely would not recommend this product. Depending on what sort of response I get from this company’s customer service department, I may return and change this review.
