We purchased this in May 2024. It was easy for 2 of us to put up, and we’re both healthy and over 60 years of age. We secured it to the ground with 4 - 18 inch anchors and wire cable. We get some pretty big winds along with heavy snow, bitter cold and really hot days, in Denver, Colorado. We’ve been REALLY happy with this purchase. Nothing has hurt it, until Last night. We had seriously dangerous wind. The strongest wind gust in our city was measured at 109 mph. The anchors did their job. The wind has its way with the vertical poles. I’m afraid it’s a complete loss for the frame. But the fabric held up great! And the contents of the shed weren’t damaged. It’s a great product. I’d highly recommend it- it lives up to what the manufacturer promises.

At $300 or less this is a very good product. The cost is kept relatively low by a few less than optimal features. You should expect to spend some additional cash ($50- $60?) on perfecting the as delivered quality of a good product. Read the level 4 and some level 3 reviews by real buyers of this carport and follow their recommendations. For example, you must buy additional tie-down items, e.g. 15-18" augur stakes at each corner and better, for all points where the vertical poles meet the ground. These should be attached to each pole with heavy duty bungee cord ball tie downs. This should min(imize the risk of the carport collapsing or blowing into your neigbor's yard. Do not rely solely on the inadequate tent support sticks provided only for the middle poles. This should be sufficient, but I also bought longer ratchet band tie down straps to go over the canopy from one side to the other, attached to their own augur stakes on both sides. Also, the zippers are a bit fragile but they will work if you are careful opening and closing them .( The same is true of my overpriced fancy brand winter coats, so I am not outraged by the supplied zippers with this Kingsbird carport.) Finially, and this is almost always true of diy construction products, the instructions are pathetic, with too small, confusing illustrations. Unless you are a flat bed truck driver, you may never have had experience with ratchet straps. Only the video suppled with the Amazon ad for this product gives you a hint of how that ratchet works .In any event, the Kingsbird product makes sense unless you want to pay twice as much or more for a more perfect product.

I ordered this in November of 2022 ans set it up immediately. It was to cover my boat from the snow this winter. Although we didn't get snow, we did have some rain and wind. The base of the unit was secured to blocks so that they couldn't move, but the wind hit the car port and the pipes folded. The weld came undone for one of the top posts and the tarp was ripped from the stretching and sharp points made from the bent pipes. I am not able to see a place to contact the seller, but my guess is that I am not going to get any sort of refund, partial refund of anything of the sort. I have more pictures if you would like me to share, but the product is honestly not worth the money. I think I paid close to $500 for this last year.

I've had a few shelters, and I dare say this one shouldn't even be sold. I very much regret purchasing, especially having to wait several weeks before actually getting around to erecting. I have another King Bird shelter (10x20') bought 2 years prior which was a great buy for the $, with a far superior skeleton and method of attaching fabric to same... Regrettably, I expected that this one would be like that, yet it doesn't come close. The paperwork that comes with this actually says to "take down in inclement weather". WTF??? None of the horizontal supports pass through sleeves! instead the shelter fabric is attached to skeleton by rope passed through small grommets (about 24" apart) pressed into the fabric and then winding the rope around the horizontals, offering exceedingly little strength... YES!!!! that's all there is holding the fabric / cover, about 9 tiny grommets that will easily be torn / pulled through the fabric. Obviously, one can now understand why it would be warranted to take down ahead of inclement weather... Which clearly makes the entire idea of purchasing this ABSURD and worse than a mere waste of money as who has time to waste! Sadly, with some relatively minor changes to the design this could have been a decent shelter. I plan on adding some additional measures in hopes of keeping this around awhile.

Easy to ensemble 2 people works best quality carport make sure u buy wright's to hold it down they provide stakes if ur putting it up in the grass but if in the driveway u need weights I also bought extra one the wind will move it a little no worries. Been almost a year follow easy instruction and a nice carport to keep whatever u want to keep dry.

I was initially impressed with the delivery speed and easy of assembly. All the different parts are well labelled and the instructions were clear. It took about an hour to assemble with help from another person. I say initially, because the first time it snowed, it collapsed. OK, it snowed for several hours. The steel poles are not what I'd call "Heavy Duty Galvanized Tube" as described but in fact quite flimsy any easy to bend over your knee. I had to go out and replace all of the upright sections with proper heavy duty gauge conduit tubing from Menards at a cost of $128 + tools and then spend a day repairing it. It should include advice for maximum depth of snow it can withstand and maybe even offer this as a light duty version and include a more expensive version that really is heavy duty.
