What a great price for 2 pounds of kinetic sand! All of my kids love this stuff. Great for occupational therapy for children, teaching motor skills (hand eye coordination, grasping etc) helps to strengthen little ones fingers as well. I used this in a medium Tupperware container with a lid. I grabbed different utensils from around the house and my local buck twenty-five store and had my 4 year old dig around in the sand to find small items ( can use marbles, jax anything really). She has learned to dig with her hands and a small garden shovel. She can use tweezers to pick up small items, separating them by shape or color. This is a great learning tool as well as a great way to pass the time. It is not messy, if some gets dropped on the carpet, I just grab a small amount and use it to pick the sand up and it only picks the sand up! This green was a vibrant color. Doesn't dry out like the cheaper knock offs. I will be purchasing many more as my daughter advances with her occupational therapy.

Pick a clean area!
This Kinetic Sand is SO FUN! I wish I had tried it sooner! I have six young children here playing with them, so it did get messy. It doesn't stick to anything else, it just sweeps up like beach sand, but it drops easily. It is really a beautiful color. We got three colors and mixed them together little bits at a time in different ways, and that was part of the fun! I would like to continue to buy this hilarious fun Kinetic sand, as the colors pretty quickly got all mixed into basically pretty gray. But from now on, I bring this Kinetic Sand out over a wide clean work surface. I have a large roll of white paper that I cover a craft table with but newspapers probably work for that too. You can collect all the sand back up in the end, if it doesn't get mixed in the dog fur and hair and dirt on the floor so put a layer of clean white paper down there too! 👋 Good luck!

Kids love it!
I had never use this product before but wanted it for babysitting a two year old and four year old. They absolutely love it! I think they have some at their preschool so they were familiar with it. Seems to be a good value for the money. I put a cookie sheet down on the small table and then put the sand inside another pan on top so really trying to keep it contained. I did end up putting an old tablecloth on the floor to help keep it off the floor but that is more supervision than anything. It holds its shape well, it’s fun to play with, does not stain. Great stuff!

Very fun activity
As an adult, I even had fun with it. My 13 month old started eating it so I definitely recommend following the age restriction. He was having fun tho so I know when he’s old enough he’ll love it. It’s a great value for the huge bag we got. It’s better than play dog bc it doesn’t seem to dry out but it does spread so I can’t say it’s that convenient to clean. It’s not sticky so that’s good.

Great for fun - outdoors.
This stuff is great and very fun to play with. I would recommend outdoor use for children that are 3 or 4. If 5 or older, it would be suitable for indoor use, but would still need to be contained somehow. We use an extra plastic tub. If it does get everywhere, the easiest way to pick it up, is to grab a handful of the sand and use it kind of like a "magnet" and it will pick up any extra sand.

Kids love it, but better to use outdoors
My 2 daughters have a great time playing with this sand and forming it into shapes. My wife is not so much a fan of how messy the sand can become. I would recommend using this Kinetic Sand outdoors, or be prepared for the mess.

Most important- the grandkids love it. This is a high quality sand! The 2# offer makes it a good deal. You can have a huge pile of quality sand and many colors for them to play with for $30-$40! It molds easily and doesn't stick. It's not stuck to anything it's gotten on so far. Ex: cardboard, paper, tile, vinyl, wood, plastic. They've used it in every sand mold they've got over the years and it hasn't stuck to any of them! Oh yeah, the colors are evenly mixed and are very bright and vibrant!
