If you like to feel and watch sand slowly settle, you will love this! It comes with a tray so everything stays contained and you can move it easily where you want it. I wish it came with a few more tools to play in the sand with, but you can get creative and find more. I (as an adult) started getting miniatures and made small scale landscaping designs (the kinetic sand is a little too thick for this, but I made it work). I absolutely love this product. The tools are absolutely perfect for shaping and manipulating the sand and I spend a lot of time practicing mindfulness by kneading, building, and just generally working with my hands. I used to find pottery very soothing and, as there are no public studios in my town, I find this is a very good substitute. I’ll make a note here that my sand is purple because I mixed a couple of other colors with the standard sand that came with the box. Overall, I absolutely love this product. The only reason I gave it a 4/5 instead of 5 stars is because I do wish the construction of the tools was a little more sturdy. I use the scoop the most and I ended up breaking it from use. The media could not be loaded. I work as a nurse in a senior living care facility and let me tell you, especially with what's going on lately with the pandemic, I'm constantly on my feet and working more hours than before and not that I don't mind, I love my job but it can certainly take a toll on me. Well, there are times things may not go my way, or days when I wake up feeling blah and well, just don't wanna do anything. That's when a friend told me about kinetic sand. I decided to give it a purchase and let me tell you, this has to be one of the most relaxing experience I've ever had in a long time. The tools are fun to play with when I'm just trying to ease my mind but the real winner here is the sand. It is crazy how cool this sand is. By the look of it and first impressions of touching it, you'd think it's wet sand. But nope, whatever type of sand they're usually or however it's made, it's really neat how it feels through my fingers and how it flows through my hands like all liquidy. It's soothing, relaxing and I can spend hours just playing with this kit as I have already. Having a not so good day? Just need a you moment?
