This paddle makes a difference when it comes to still water paddling across the lake and it is super light weight. When I took this out of the box, I had to dampen the join to get the parts to fit together. Yes!!! No rattle!!! Can't tell you how many I tried and returned because the ferrules were floppy and sloppy. I recently retired from sea kayaking where I needed shorter paddles for challenging conditions. After a full year of extensive use, in all sorts of conditions, these paddles held up great! They did eventually crack during a session, but after a quick email to Best Marine & Outdoors, they were quick to send a replacement without any concerns!
