This thing has been a game changer for me... as a pastor, I do a lot of teaching. Sometimes it's outside... funerals and weddings. I've found this to be my go-to teaching tool for all my sermons. The reason being is I can send all of my sermons to this and then I don' have the glare or the lack of visibility due to sunlight or stage lights... nor do I have a back glare from a reflection of the glass. The battery lasts for months at a time, and the readability is amazing! I can read in any light, AND, I can take notes on this for all of my meetings. It really is amazing! Love it! It outlasts my iPad Pro, can do more for me personally than a Remarkable or any other type of writing/reading tablet. Just love this thing!

Great addition to the paper tablet market. If Amazon adds some features in the coming months, the KindleScribe could take the lead. It syncs constantly and new PDFs and books are instantly available. I love the ease in adding to my library. I very much like the oversized post it notes that can be add when reading a book, but shrink to keep a clean book page, although I wish I had a choice to write directly on a book page as I can a pdf. I like that I can type and hand write my notes. But also wish that my handwritten notes synced like my typewritten notes, to other devices, such as when I open the book on my laptop. I do like that I can collect all my notes and highlights in a list. Great for teaching. As a professor all my notes travel with me. This is a great tool for educators and professors. I like that my audible books are accessible too. I do wish it could “project” to my laptop like the competitor R2, this is an underrated feature that is great for educators. I would like a better pencil too that mimics the characteristics of a pencil better. I think layers would also make it a stronger competitor. Access to my files on a Google drive or other. And add an interactive daily planner. R2 has one that is transformative, created by a developer. But you have a project planner, so create/get a daily calendar planner. That add on was the clincher for me.But make it a reasonable price point. I do like the ability to have controllable lighting as needed, very nice. I love the custom cover/case. I got the burgundy one. Glad the pen came with it and that it is magnetic and can be secured with the loop on the case. Love those features. I love that I can zoom in on my PDFs, not a feature on the R2. And my handwriting shrinks or grows accordingly in real time, staying proportional. Not sure how it handles other ebooks that are not kindle, but the R2 doesn’t handle kindle books, much to my chagrin; I had a kindle library for decades. Overall, even though I bought the R2 just 5 months ago, I was upset with myself because I was not aware of the KindleScribe. I think I would’ve gotten the Scribe first because it is great in many ways. But since I got the R2 first, I want to suggest to Amazon to upgrade some features then you can takeover this market: layers, projection, other ebooks, write directly on the pages of a book, handwritten notes in books travel with it to other devices, a keyboard perhaps. KEEP your unique good features and add these feature, plus do some marketing to increase awareness, then you got this. I would love to only need on device. So, please take heed. The price point for it and the bundle is perfect. Smart to sell it with the pen. With the R2, I thought a separate pen was shameful, felt they were nickel and diming us, plus they charge for storage of files smh. Love the scribe. Overall, a game changer. Love it and bragging on it to folks. I rarely write reviews. Best wishes on the success of this product.

Great kindle and the writing works very well. Excellent battery life. I chopped off a star because the package included cover is really pretty cheap. I wish I had just bought a cover on my own instead of the package.

This was quite a surprise. Yes it’s a kindle and all the features and perks reading with it comes with as many of you already know from other models. But it writes like paper! I could handwrite with this all day. Feels great -nothing like the icy appl pencil’s feel of a smooth tip on glass. Erasing with either the side button or just like a pencil-the eraser tool is mechanical button that depresses with a slight pressure and acts quite like a pencil eraser does (except no crumbs and the erased lines/words are completely gone) This works better than I ever imagined. It recognizes my handwriting (which isn’t horrible either printed or cursive and converts to text with a high level of accuracy.-and exports. You can use it to insert handwritten notes into books and all is saved up to cloud. It was even a breeze to draw with. For books, typical readable sized lettering yields one real page (number) per page-unlike the smaller kindles. Glad I spent the money and bought it.
